WandaVision is jam-packed with so much information and action from week to week, especially in the last few episodes, that it’s hard to keep up with every little thing that goes on. While the major points come across, sometimes things get lost. In Episode 4, Agent Jimmy Woo mentioned a missing person from Witness Protection, but the show hasn’t really given a lot more information. Nor do fans have a lot of clues to guess who it might be. [Spoiler alert: Spoilers ahead for WandaVision].

Jimmy Woo was brought to Westview because of a missing person’s case involving someone in Witness Protection; But who is it?

When Monica Rambeau woke up five years after disappearing with half the world after Thanos’s snap, she had a lot of adjusting to do. The first mission she was sent on by Director Hayward was supposed to be light work and she had to “stay grounded,” per her mother’s orders before she died. That’s what initially brought her to Westview, where Agent Jimmy Woo was.

The whole reason he was even there was due to the missing Witness Protection person mentioned earlier. But after he mentions the witness, and the fact that the local police don’t even know Westview exists, it’s not really mentioned again.

After Monica comes back from being sucked into Wanda’s reality, fans see that everyone at S.W.O.R.D. was doing research on the people in the town, getting profiles on the residents. Again, nothing really jumped out about the witness, and they weren’t talked about again. Odds are, they’re important and will come up again, but who could they be? And what do they add to WandaVision’s story?

There is a list of people it could be, but honestly, there isn’t a ton of tangible clues to go on

Trying to figure out who the missing person was that Jimmy went in to find is tricky because there are really no tangible clues as to who it is. When they are mentioned, they have male pronouns, so it’s likely a guy, but other than that, there isn’t much else.

Of course, Reddit users have some guesses. One user wrote that this person might have “snitched” on the Avengers that didn’t sign the Sokovia Accords, like Bucky, Sam, and Wanda, and that might be why they’re in Witness Protection. However, that seems really inconsequential at this point. Plus, wouldn’t that be common knowledge anyway?

But they also point out that this person is probably a big deal within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and most likely posing as Agnes’ husband. This is because the audience has yet to see her husband and both Agnes and her husband Ralph weren’t ID’d by S.W.O.R.D. yet. With that in mind, some people the user lists are Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) from Doctor Strange, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) from The Incredible Hulk who actually showed up in Civil War and at Tony Stark’s funeral, or Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) from Doctor Strange

With Wanda/Scarlet Witch appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it would make sense to include characters from his world in her story. However, none of those characters seem like they would need Witness Protection. Unless of course, it’s all a ruse. In which case, none of this is necessary. But moving on.

Paul Bettany gave a massive clue that an actor shows up on ‘WandaVision’; Is it the missing person?

The Reddit users on that thread also pointed to the movie Jimmy Woo first appeared in for answers: Ant-Man and the Wasp. Some guessed that Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), or Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) could be the missing person. Then, for fun, one TikTok user wants Scott’s best friend Luis to pop up as the missing person “just so he can explain what’s been going on in Westview” in the best way possible.

There are also fans saying that Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) or Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann), since some fans on Reddit think he could still be alive.

Plus, there’s the fact that S.W.O.R.D. was even brought in in the first place. A government organization that has to do with “sentient weapons”? Why did they need their drone? Weird.

But some fans also think that this missing person might be the actor that Paul Bettany teased a cameo of. According to IndieWire, while appearing on the Lights Camera Barstool podcast in January, Bettany said that he’s surprised certain things haven’t leaked yet, including the identity of an actor he’s excited he got to work with on WandaVision. Assuming it’s not Evan Peters, fans have yet to meet this actor.

“There’s this thing that has been completely under wrap that happens,” Bettany said. “I work with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think people are going to be really excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense.”

It looks like the actors listed above haven’t worked with Bettany before, so it’s all in the cards. But then again, who knows.
