When Disney+ added the Marvel Defenders series to its catalog, they introduced the overlooked corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to new individuals. But unfortunately, for those who didn’t tune in to the shows when they aired, the order to watch the Defenders series might be confusing. Thankfully, we have an easy guide with the correct timeline of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders.

Fans can now watch the Marvel Defenders series on Disney+

After Netflix announced that the Marvel Defenders shows were leaving its streaming platform at the end of February 2022, fans worried about how they would watch them.

Disney quickly eased everyone’s concerns. Disney+ added Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders to its library on March 16, 2022.

With the addition of the new shows came parental control features. The Marvel Defenders series might not be suitable for some to watch. So subscribers can set content rating restrictions for individual profiles to prohibit some from watching the Defenders shows.

What is the order in which to watch the Marvel Defenders shows?

The watch order of the Marvel Defenders series on Disney+ might seem complex. But if fans want to follow the exact timeline of this universe, they will have to jump around from show to show a little bit. And there are crossovers between all of the series. So watching only one show at a time could get confusing.

The chronological order to watch the Marvel Defenders series is:

It’s imperative to watch some of these seasons before jumping into other shows. For example, Jessica Jones introduces Luke Cage in its first season before Luke Cage Season 1. And Daredevil Season 2 introduces Frank Castle before he got his spinoff. But now that the Defenders Saga is on Disney+, fans can watch all of the shows in whatever order they want.

Marvel and Disney might bring back ‘Daredevil’

Rumors have run rampant on the internet ever since Charlie Cox appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home that Daredevil would return for season 4. And now that fans can watch all of the Defenders shows on Disney+ in order, many are confident that Daredevil is returning in some capacity.

A recent report in Production Weekly listed a “Daredevil reboot.” It detailed that the project includes Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Marvel’s Behind the Mask’s Chris Gary as producers. However, Marvel has not confirmed that this project is in the works.

So while fans hope that Disney revives Daredevil, the company might put their own spin on the vigilante. Either way, we think many will be happy to have Matt Murdock and co. back on their screens.
