‘When Calls the Heart’ Spoilers: Do These Photos Give a Clue About What’s Going to Happen in the Season 8 Finale?
It’s decision day in Hope Valley. Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) will finally choose between Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas (Chris McNally) in the When Calls the Heart Season 8 finale. Hallmark Channel has released some photos from the upcoming episode, titled “The Kiss.” Do they offer any clues about what to expect from the season-ending episode?

Jesse’s fate revealed in the ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 8 finale
The Elizabeth-Nathan-Lucas love triangle has been the big story in this season of When Calls the Heart. But there’s also been plenty of drama involving the other residents of Hope Valley.
In the season’s penultimate episode, Jesse (Aren Buchholz) went missing after heading out of town to do some surveying work for Lee (Kavan Smith). His wife Clara (Eva Bourne) was frantic with worry for her husband, fearing he’d been injured in an accident, or perhaps worse.
Well, it seems that whatever happened to Jesse, he makes it home in one piece. A photo from the next episode shows Nathan riding into town with a bedraggled, but apparently safe, Jesse. In another image, both he and Clara are on board the stage, suggesting they’ll be taking a trip after Jesse’s adventure.
Rosemary’s new career
Last week, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) finally found the purpose she’s been searching for all season. She decided to turn her nosiness into a nose for news and become a journalist.
In the finale, it seems Rosemary’s already cranked out an issue of her publication, as we see Faith (Andrea Brooks) looking over what looks like a newspaper with ads for Dottie’s Dress Shop and Coulter Lumber on the back.
A moment with Nathan and Faith?
Speaking of Faith, it looks like we’ll be seeing plenty of her in “The Kiss.” The nurse-turned-doctor has been trying to decide how — or if — to move forward in her relationship with Carson (Paul Greene) after he was offered a surgical fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Last week, Carson appeared to walk back his plans to propose to Faith, which has some fans worried he might leave Hope Valley for good.
Now, we have a photo of Fiona (Kayla Wallace) apparently offering support to Faith, who appears to be putting on a stoic face as she watches something we can’t see.
There are also two photos of Faith and Nathan. In one, she appears to be examining a wound on his hand. In the second, they’re sitting outside. Faith is still holding Nathan’s now-bandaged hand, and they’re turned toward each other and seem to be exchanging a meaningful look.
What could be going on here? It’s impossible to say, but it’s definitely intriguing.
Ned’s back in town
In “Changing Times,” newlywed Florence (Loretta Walsh) returned to Hope Valley after her honeymoon. But she was distressed about having to leave her husband Ned (Hrothgar Mathews) behind for an unspecified reason. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like the happy couple will be separated for too long, as there’s a photo of them outside the mercantile.
It also seems like we’ll get at least one more moment between Bill (Jack Wagner) and Molly (Johannah Newmarch) in season 8’s closing episode. In the photo, they’re standing opposite each other on the street. They’re at a bit of a distance, and all we see is Bill’s back, but Molly has a flirtatious glint in her eye.
Will something happen on the bridge?
Hallmark didn’t release any photos of Elizabeth with either of her suitors, which is sure to keep fans guessing about which man she’ll choose. But there is a photo of the bridge outside of Hope Valley — a clue that something may happen at that location in the finale. It’s clearly a setting that invites romantic possibilities — the only question is for whom?
