Who is BTS Member Jungkook’s Celebrity Crush?
He’s friends with Ariana Grande and a huge fan of Billie Eilish. When it comes to his celebrity crush, though, BTS’ Jungkook was at a loss for words.
Here’s what we know about the youngest BTS member and the artist behind the songs “Euphoria” and “My Time.”
According to BTS fans, Jungkook’s celebrity crush is a soloist named IU
He’s an award-winning singer and dancer, performing songs like “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite” alongside the other BTS members. When it comes to his celebrity crush, though, most fans believe it to be a singer named Lee Jieun, with the stage name IU.
Jungkook hasn’t actually dated this soloist or, as far as fans know, even hung out as friends before. As a result, some ARMYs were quick to point out this could just be people trying to “ship” them together.
“For Jungkook and IU, there’s really no evidence. I mean, about the fan thing-anyone could be a fan of IU or other idols, so that would make them their crush? That doesn’t make sense,” one fan on Quora noted.
Jungkook is also rumored to have a crush on Lisa from BLACKPINK, although that has never been confirmed by the idol. Again, most point out this is just what fans wish would happen, more than what Jungkook has actually said.
Does Jungkook have a favorite actor?
A few other BTS members have since come forward, sharing praise and admiration for actors like Scarlett Johansson and Lily Collins. However, when the BTS members were asked about their celebrity crushes and favorite actors, Jungkook had an answer that didn’t really answer anything.
“I know her face, but I don’t know her name,” Jungkook said during an interview with Access Hollywood. The reporter then asked what movie the actor was in, to which Jungkook responded, “I know movie, but I don’t know movie name.”
The BTS members burst out laughing. Jungkook’s quote became an inside joke among BTS fans, with some speculating who this mystery person was. Others guessed that he was just making the whole thing up.
There are a few bromances going on between Jungkook and other celebrities
Aside from his love for the other BTS members, Jungkook has other celebrity friends where bromances have sparked. In June 2019, Jungkook shared two photos with the Korean singer, Minwoo, to BTS’s Twitter account.
He wrote in the caption, “Bromance,” adding a thumbs-up emoji. Minwoo also shared the photos on Instagram with the same caption. Since then, however, Jungkook has been considerably busy promoting new music.
The “Life Goes On” music video by BTS is now available for streaming on YouTube. The K-pop group’s deluxe album, titled Be, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
