Diddy is back in the news in a very big way, and none of the stories about him are good. Daphne Joy, one of Diddy’s former partners and the rumored “Jane Doe” who testified against him, took to social media to decry a leaked sex tape that she says she did not consent to. 50 Cent, who shares a child with the model, has weighed in, and he has no sympathy for her; he does have sympathy for their shared son, though. The internet is divided.

A sex tape featuring Daphne Joy, Diddy, and a male escort named Sly Diggler was leaked on social media late last month. Short clips spread rapidly, with fans debating whether they were real or deepfaked. Daphne ended that speculation on June 1 when she took to Instagram to talk about the tape.
The model said that the release of the footage was “deeply traumatizing” and that she never consented to be filmed. She went on to claim she was aware the footage existed, and that an individual attempted to blackmail her with it, demanding cash to keep the video private. Joy went on to say the video was sold to an adult entertainment company, which agreed not to release it after learning that it was revenge porn.
Daphne Joy framed herself as a victim who had been manipulated by Diddy into doing things that she was not comfortable with. She said she had ignored her boundaries to please a partner who she believed loved her. Daphne no longer believes Diddy loved her. She did not reveal the identity of the individual who tried to extort money from her.
50 Cent Weighs In
It took mere hours for 50 Cent to weigh in on the issue. 50 and Daphne Joy share a child, but the rapper and model have no love lost between them. While he did not speak on the contents of the video, he had a lot to say about the way Daphne Joy framed the leak.
50 Cent insists that the mother of his child is not “the victim” and that their shared child is the real victim in this entire situation. In an Instagram upload, he wrote, “She’s not a victim, SIRE is can you imagine going to eighth grade to find out this is your mom. The court system in LA thinks it’s fine.” The upload suggests 50 Cent has been seeking custody of the 13-year-old to no avail.
50 Cent obviously couldn’t leave the situation alone, without mentioning Diddy. The famed rapper has a reputation as a top-notch online troll to uphold, after all. In a second Instagram post, he took direct aim at Diddy, joking that the rapper-mogul had been through enough because he was born with “no penis.” The swipe was completely on-brand.
The Relationship That Fuels the Feud
It is no surprise that 50 Cent made a joke at Diddy’s expense. While 50 Cent is known for nurturing several online feuds, his feud with Diddy is epic. While many believe it’s all about Daphne Joy, it actually isn’t. The animosity, which seems largely one-sided, predates either of their relationships with Daphne Joy.
50 Cent and Combs have feuded since the early 2000s. Everyone remembers 50 trolling Diddy over his liquor brand in 2010. He then started making insinuations about his parties in 2015. 50 also questioned Diddy’s sexuality after he offered to take him shopping. Things did, however, get worse when Diddy got involved with Daphne Joy.
Both men dated the same woman. Daphne Joy dated 50 Cent from 2011 to 2012. They welcomed a son together before the split. The breakup was ugly, with Daphne accusing 50 Cent of domestic violence. Several years later, she linked up with Diddy. She was first spotted with him in 2021 and was connected to him until his arrest in 2024. In fact, Diddy was said to be paying her rent while he was awaiting trial. She is widely believed to be the woman who testified against Diddy anonymously.
Diddy has not issued a statement about the tape or Daphne Joy’s allegations. This is a developoing story.
