Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Fuming Over Prince Harry and Meghan’s U.K. Return
It seems like just about everyone has an opinion about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s return to Britain, including Harry’s disgraced uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return to the U.K. follows reports that Andrew is hoping to make a return of his own back into the life Harry and Meghan walked away from. The ex-prince wants to begin working again on behalf of the Crown. But since he came to the realization that’s not going to happen, he wants King Charles to find a role for him within the monarchy because he feels his abilities are “wasted” in seclusion.
A source close to the former Duke of York told the National Examiner, “The fact he’s effectively been banished into seclusion and omitted from all social functions or big picture discussions is something that angers him greatly. He believes it’s wrong and foolish for the king to be wasting his expertise.
“He’s not shy in complaining that the family has gone to pieces in the wake of his mother’s death. In [Andrew’s] mind, Charles is out of his depth right now. And this deepening gulf between him and William, plus the farcical situation involving the Sussexes, is proof that a shift in approach is critical in order for everyone to move forward.”
However, that’s not likely to happen either and is reportedly really bothering Andrew as he watches the Sussexes being welcomed by the king with what he views as open arms.
“Andrew doesn’t understand how they can be forgiven for saying these terrible things about the family so publicly,” the source said per Examiner. “And yet here he is, excluded and blocked when he’s never once set out to harm the family the way they’ve done.”
However, many would argue that the allegations against the former prince and his long association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are far worse than the claims the duke and duchess made and have done more damage to the royal family.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on Harry and Meghan’s move back to England, but it has been reported that the king is happy that he gets to spend more time with family.
While the Sussexes are not believed to be returning to official royal duties on behalf of the Crown, a psychic has predicted that Harry will still be working with his family.
Speaking on behalf of Casino.ca, celebrity psychic astrologer Inbaal Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Harry is negotiating a career within and around his royal connections, and a new working arrangement will be forged: working under the monarch, but not as an inherent part of the royal family.
“The king’s younger son is practical and pragmatic … He will have a lucrative, secure, and confidential contract in place that will limit his options outside of that agreement. His responsibilities and commitments will be laid out explicitly and irrevocably, but he won’t become a ‘working royal’ again. Instead, he’ll be a ‘relative working for the Crown.’”
