Blake Lively Has Lost VIP Perks Without Her Former Friend Taylor Swift
Blake Lively made her first appearance since being snubbed from Taylor Swift’s wedding when she was among the many celebrities who attended the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina.
Lively was all smiles in a photo she posted with friends in the stands during the July 19 match. But the actress reportedly isn’t receiving the same type of VIP treatment she had when she was showing up to events with Swift.
Other attendees at the game noticed that the Gossip Girl alum was seated well away from the main celebrity section. Insiders told Rob Shuter that Lively’s VIP perks have been shrinking a bit without Taylor Swift’s friendship.
“Blake is absolutely still getting invited,” one source said. “But without Taylor, she’s no longer automatically getting the best seats, the most exclusive lounges, or the kind of VIP treatment that came with being part of Taylor’s inner circle.”
A second source added, “Taylor’s world operates on another level. Being one of her closest friends meant front-row seats, invitation-only parties, and access to the most influential people in music, sports, fashion, and Hollywood. Those opportunities don’t automatically follow you once you’re outside that circle.”
An insider also explained that while Lively is a successful star in her own right, being besties with the pop icon is something that would elevate almost anyone’s status, pointing out, “There’s a difference between being a VIP and being Taylor Swift’s VIP. Hollywood notices those little details, and so does everyone watching.”
After not being seen together since October 2024, it’s believed that Lively and Swift stopped talking for good sometime in mid-2025. Their fallout was reportely tied to Lively’s legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni after Swift’s name appeared in court filings.
