Body Language Expert Picks Out the ‘Strongest Liar’ on This Season of ‘The Traitors’
The Traitors: New Blood, the latest season of the competition series, premieres on September 17. Unlike past seasons, the contestants will not be celebrities or reality television stars. Instead, they are regular people. Because of this, viewers will know next to nothing about each contestant going in. Despite this, a body language expert thinks she has already identified the best liar.
A body language expert thinks one contestant on this season of ‘The Traitors’ is a good liar
The Traitors is a show of deception where an ability to lie effectively comes in handy. Inbaal Honigman, a body language expert with Casino.ca, thinks that Tomica, a pilot from Boston, could be the best at this. She believes Tomica will be the “strongest liar.”
“On the train, Tomica’s tongue touches the roof of her mouth for an inordinate amount of time. This shows that she finds it easy and natural to hold her tongue, and only say the right thing at the right moment,” she explained. “She’d be a proficient liar and a great secret-keeper.”
Honigman noted that Tomica also seems confident in her ability to play the game.
“Talking to camera, Tomica laughs and nods as she speaks,” Honigman noted. “She is neither nervous nor worried; she’s here to win, and she’s got a great chance.”
According to Honigman, Tomica could face competition in Shane, an ironworker from Staten Island. He is able to maintain a calm demeanor.
“When Shane sits, when Shane walks, his physical moves and his face remain the same in all situations,” Honigman explained. “His body language consists of a broad and confident physical stance, as well as calm and neutral facial features.”
She believes that people will naturally believe what Shane tells them.
“His unchanged demeanour will make the others trust him easily, as his stable presence will exude a sense of comfort,” she said.
The Traitors: New Blood premieres on NBC on Thursday, September 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available to stream on Peacock the next day.
