Real Housewives of Atlanta alums NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak had some ups and many downs in their time on the show. The pair had fun together, but they also sparred frequently. Recently, Leakes admitted that she is still in contact with Zolciak. Their zodiac compatibility may explain the push and pull between them.

NeNe Leakes said she is still in contact with Kim Zolciak

Zolciak has recently dealt with significant familial upheaval after her son, KJ Biermann, was arrested on charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and three counts of sexual battery against a child under the age of 16. Leakes said she reached out to her former castmate to check on her.

“I recently spoke to Kim; I think it was last week,” Leakes said on the Big Tigger Morning Show. 

They spoke about Zolciak’s children. Leakes noted that she remains in contact with many of her former castmates.

“I just hit her up, wanting to know how she’s doing, congratulating her on [her daughter] Brielle [Biermann] and making sure she was okay with what her son [KJ] is dealing with — I know that’s a tough time and I know she’s not okay,” Leakes said. “So I wanted to reach out. And I did, okay? I reach out to a lot of these girls. We just reach out to each other. But we’re not in contact on the daily basis.”

She later defended Zolciak, who has received heat for her staunch support of her son.

“Everybody parents differently,” she told TMZ. “As a mom, I’m just sure she’s not OK. We’ve texted together, that’s it.”

After Zolciak and Leakes’ time on the show, it may seem a bit surprising that they are still checking in with one another. Their zodiac signs may account for their fiery back and forth. Zolciak, who was born on May 19, is a Taurus. Leakes was born on December 13, making her a Sagittarius. These signs are a difficult match, but they can make things work.

Taurus is levelheaded and down to earth, while Sagittarius is curious and adventurous. Because of this, these signs may not understand one another, leading to clashes. Zolciak and Leakes had many of these on RHOA. 

Still, sometimes opposites attract, and these signs can bring out the best in each other. When they weren’t bickering on the show, Leakes and Zolciak shared many laughs. Taurus and Sagittarius can absolutely have a good time together, which these two did. Because they are so different, though, they can’t spend too much time together. This may explain the push and pull of their relationship.
