Brooklyn Beckham Is ‘Fuming’ Over David Beckham’s Father’s Day Post
David Beckham’s Father’s Day post on Instagram included photos of Brooklyn Beckham despite his ongoing estrangement from the rest of the family. Earlier this year, Brooklyn shared a statement saying that he wanted no further contact with his family. He reportedly is not happy that his parents shared images of him in their posts for the day.
David Beckham posted several photos of Brooklyn Beckham on Father’s Day
On Father’s Day, David posted several photos to his Instagram account. Several were of all four of his children together, and he also included individual photos with each child.
“Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham For giving me our beautiful family,” he wrote. “Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.”
Victoria Beckham also shared a photo of David with all four children.
“David you truly are the best daddy,” she wrote. “Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.”
Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly not happy about David Beckham’s post
Brooklyn, who has told his parents not to tag him in social media posts, reportedly is not happy about the Father’s Day carousels.
“He’s fuming about it,” an insider told The UK Sun. “He’s asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him.”
They added that seeing his parents post him brings up memories of their estranged relationship. He has stated that he does not want a relationship with his parents moving forward.
“It just brings the whole thing up all over again,” the insider continued. “He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone.”
While he has blocked his family members on social media, he is reportedly still aware of the posts they’ve made with him in them. He has described them as performative.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in his statement, adding, “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
He also posted a birthday message to his son
In March, David shared two photos of Brooklyn to his Instagram Stories in honor of his son’s birthday. One was of a young Brooklyn swimming with David and Victoria. The other was a black-and-white photo of himself and Brooklyn.
“27 today,” David wrote with a teary-eyed emoji. “Happy birthday Bust. We love you x.”
A number of people noted that they felt that David should not have posted about Brooklyn on his birthday, considering the state of their relationship.
