Bunnie XO Admitted Jelly Roll Was Not Her Type
Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll are divorcing after nearly ten years of marriage. The couple married in 2016 after roughly a year together. She said that they felt an instant connection when they met. Despite this, she admitted that he was not her type.
Bunny XO spoke about the first time she met Jelly Roll
Bunnie and Jelly Roll met in 2015 at a Moonshine Bandits concert in Las Vegas. She admitted she felt “mesmerized” after he introduced himself, even though he wasn’t her usual type.
“This man was not my type,” she wrote in her book Stripped Down. “But shaking his hand felt like every star in the sky collided. My soul recognized his. It was as if I’d been looking for him my entire life.”
He was an aspiring musician at the time, and she was a high-end escort.
“When I met her, I was living out of a ’96 van, and I was doing $100 a night shows,” he said in an interview with Bert Kreischer. “I was dead broke, and she just kind of took to me. She was really making money in the sex work industry, like real money. I didn’t know that existed.”
Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll were planning to have children
Jelly Roll recently filed for divorce. Just months before this, she was undergoing IVF, and they picked out a surrogate to carry their children.
“We’ve never been here,” she told Yahoo in February. “We’re excited. This is what we sat down and dreamt about the first night we were together — our five-year plan. We’re like: ‘What’s next?’ Anytime something happens, we just look at each other, like little kids, going, ‘Are you kidding me? This is crazy. What’s next?'”
He has two children from a previous relationship.
She spoke about choosing each other after his affair
Jelly Roll and Bunnie remained together after he had an affair shortly after they got married. She said she is happy she stayed with him.
“Everybody’s always quick to say, ‘Oh, I would have left,'” she said. “That’s easy to say. Was it wrong what he did? Absolutely. But I’m happy that situation happened because it was another catalyst in our fairy tale — of moving forward, of getting through, of learning how to choose each other.”
She believes that this is what makes a marriage.
“Because real marriage is waking up and choosing that person,” she said. “Even when they get on your nerves. Even when you don’t feel like you’re in love with that person. You are still waking up day after day, choosing that person.”
