For five seasons, Mabel, Oliver, and Charles have centered their murder-solving adventures on the Arconia; things are about to change for season 6 of Only Murders in the Building. The upcoming season will find the trio heading to London. The change of scenery is historic; it will be the first time the fictional trio leaves New York City behind. To celebrate the big event, several British actors have been brought in to fill important roles. This is who you can expect to see.

British actors who are joining ‘Only Murders in the Building’ season 6

When a series goes on the road, we can only hope that production will source locals to fill important roles. Only Murders in the Building is doing just that. On June 10, Disney officially confirmed the first wave of guest stars stepping into recurring roles, and the list includes several well-known British actors. For example, fans are stoked to get to see Bridgerton breakout star Simone Ashley slip into a role in Only Murders in the Building. She’ll be joined by Jennifer Saunders. Sean Teale, whom fans likely know from Skins, and Heartstopper alum Rhea Norwood are also slated to appear.

Additional British film and TV veterans are also signed on. According to Variety, Sir Derek Jacobi was seen on set, as was Lesley Nicol. Sir Derek Jacobi is known for his work on stage, while Nicol is well known as Mrs. Patmore in Downton Abbey.

Filming is underway, but a premiere date has not been set

The new additions to the season have fans desperate for more information, but as is tradition, the roles the newcomers will be playing remain closely guarded. Thankfully, fans won’t need to wait terribly long. The team has been filming for about a month now. Selena Gomez, who plays Mabel, shared a photo from “day 1” on set on May 19. Steve Martin has been documenting his time in London, and Martin Short was spotted out on the town with his rumored love, Meryl Streep.

Hulu has confirmed the season will run ten episodes, but an exact premiere date remains under wraps. A fall 2026 release is widely expected, streaming on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally. The series has kept a fall rollout throughout its run so far.

Fans already have a bit more information about what is to come than they have in previous seasons. Season 5’s finale set the stage for the trio’s journey to the United Kingdom. The finale showed Cinda Canning, the famed podcaster played by Tina Fey, as the next victim. Although she was clutching a boarding pass when she died, we don’t yet know what Oliver, Mabel, and Charles will find in London.
