Drake is releasing his newest album, Iceman, on May 15. This is his first full-length solo release since 2023, and people are already speculating about who he might diss on the record. While he reportedly does take direct shots at some people, Rick Ross said nobody is concerned about what they might hear about themselves on a Drake album.

Drake is releasing a new album this month

Drake is rolling out his ninth album, Iceman, via livestream. In July 2025, he debuted the livestream “Iceman Episode 1” and previewed several songs. He said that he’s using livestreams for the album rollout because he’s bored with the typical album release process.

“I was asked by a creative partner what I love and hate about rolling out an album,” he told Complex. “I expressed that I love the opportunity for a clean slate of thoughts and excitement and messaging when it comes to the music. What I hate is the redundancy of this formulaic approach that’s engrained in our brains from early label days. Single, video, single, video, album cover post, etc.”

He said he has wanted to push the envelope with the livestreams.

“With this, I just would study IRL streams vs. the stagnant ‘bedroom cam’ streams, and I feel like IRL just had so much unpredictable energy and movement,” he said. “And we just started asking crazy questions like: How high can the quality get? How many cameras can we get to go live at once? 12? 13? 14? Can we get a drone shot to go live? We just started getting unhinged with the requests because we wanted to push it as far as possible.”

Rick Ross said nobody is afraid of Drake’s new album

Ahead of the album release, Charlamagne Tha God issued warnings to DJ Khaled and A$AP Rocky.

“Khaled, you need to be on edge,” he said on The Breakfast Club. “You and A$AP Rocky. You’re getting direct shots on the project, just wanted y’all to know that.”

While Charlamagne warned them about potential diss tracks, Ross said that there’s no need for concern. He has feuded with Drake and said that he feels no concern about the album. According to him, no one should.

“People would love for me to say, ‘I hate this n**** forever.’ Nah, homie, it ain’t that. When somebody step out of line and you gotta chastise them or give them a spanking, that’s what you do,” he said. “But is it one of those things where there’s a conspiracy? Hell no. Don’t nobody fear Drake’s album release. Nobody.”

He was the target of Kendrick Lamar’s blistering diss tracks

Iceman is Drake’s first album in three years. It is also his first since his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar. While they have been at odds for years, the feud exploded in 2024. After going back and forth on tracks like “Taylor Made Freestyle,” “Euphoria,” and “Family Matters,” Lamar dropped “Not Like Us.”
