Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has several fights on his calendar in the coming months. It sounds like he’s going to need the money from them to navigate a surprising string of legal and financial issues. Mayweather certainly has been going through it as of late, and things just keep getting worse. From paternity lawsuits to felony charges to allegations of unpaid rent, let’s take a look at Mayweather’s current troubles.

Floyd Mayweather is dealing with several lawsuits and a tax lien

Floyd Mayweather is having a really rough few months. While he was once known for his fighting prowess, Mayweather is now becoming known for his legal and personal troubles. According to several sources, Mayweather has civil disputes over everything from unpaid taxes to unpaid rent, with lawsuits and IRS drama spanning several states. According to Yahoo! Sports, Mayweather has a $7.3 million tax lien to address, as well as financial disputes over services he allegedly authorized. He’s arguing over jet rental fees and unpaid apartment rent, too, apparently.

Mayweather isn’t just on the defensive, either. He’s also looking to recover what he claims are unpaid earnings from Showtime Networks. In a lawsuit of his own, Mayweather alleges that Showtime Networks and former Showtime Sports executive Stephen Espinoza owe him more than $340 million in boxing earnings. That lawsuit is active, but winning would certainly help him offset some of his other legal battles.

He was recently charged with two felonies

Floyd Mayweather’s team won’t just be dealing with civil lawsuits; they’ll need to sort out a criminal matter for the five-division champ, too. Just days ago, Mayweather was charged with two felonies, theft and passing a bad check, after a boutique in Las Vegas reported that he had written a bad check for a $200,000 timepiece in late 2024. The boutique reportedly filed a complaint after Mayweather failed to make good on the check.

After news of the charges broke, 50 Cent took to Instagram to troll his former business partner and, now, longtime nemesis. The criminal drama is ongoing, and we are sure 50 will have more to say about it as the details become available.

He also owes the mother of his four-year-old almost $1 million in back support

Floyd Mayweather’s rival had a lot to say about another big development in the boxer’s life back in March. In March 2026, a judge ruled that Floyd Mayweather had fathered a baby girl back in 2021, and that he was on the hook for a pretty hefty sum in back support.

The judge ordered Mayweather to pay $32,850 per month to Paige Moorehead, a former exotic dancer, to help support Price Moorehead, the four-year-old she welcomed with Mayweather. According to several reports, Mayweather dodged attempts to establish paternity multiple times since the girl’s birth. The DNA dodges didn’t cancel out his responsibility, though. He was ordered to pay over $900,000 in back child support. That matter has not been completely addressed yet, it seems. It is unclear what the nature of Moorehead and Mayweather’s relationship was .

For now, Mayweather appears to be in a precarious financial situation. It remains unclear if he is actually dealing with cash flow issues or if he’s making a show of it for other reasons. This is a developing story.
