Several celebrities attended The King’s Trust Celebration in London on May 11, including Amal and George Clooney. Even though the Clooneys have met King Charles several times, an expert noticed that this time, George seemed “nervous,” which is the complete opposite of how his wife and another famous star acted in front of the British monarch.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “When shaking the king’s hand, George Clooney put his hand on his heart, which is a submissive gesture. He wasn’t intimidated, but I think there were nerves with George with his hand-soothing gesture. Amal appeared much more relaxed with her open-palm gestures, and she had an equal exchange of rapport with King Charles as their posture was matched.

“With Rod Stewart, you can see that the king’s shoulders and posture are concurrent with Sir Rod — they are matching and mirroring each other. The king’s posture isn’t twisted, which would be a signal that he would want to move away. Rod Stewart also calls him Sir, which is a level of communication that is appropriate … [they] are completely comfortable with each other’s company and they get along very well. Rod continued to maintain that respect and spoke on the same level, which Charles clearly enjoyed as well … There were no masking smiles, and there were genuine signs of joy and happiness.”
