Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper Could Usher in a New Era of ‘Secret Weddings’
Recently, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid sparked rumors that they had secretly married after they were seen wearing rings. The simple bands certainly looked a lot like wedding rings. A jewelry expert wondered if secret weddings might be a new trend amongst celebrities.

Hadid and Cooper recently stepped out with bands on their left hands. They haven’t confirmed whether or not they’re married, but the rings indicate that they could be.
“We obviously cannot confirm that Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid are married from a set of photographs, but I can understand why the rings have caused speculation,” says wedding ring expert Nilesh Rakholia, the founder of Abelini. “They have both appeared wearing new bands on the fourth fingers of their left hands, and the rings were visible across more than one outing. That does not prove a wedding has taken place, but it does make it harder to dismiss them as two completely unrelated fashion choices.”
While the rings don’t match, they fit well together.
“While they’re not matching rings, they do look complementary,” he said. “Bradley has the classic plain gold band and Gigi has the finer diamond-set version. That is a very familiar bridal combination, even if it has been handled in an understated way.”

Rakholia said that the appearance of the bands indicates to him that Cooper and Hadid might have already married.
“For two people so closely associated with fashion and film, the jewellery is notably quiet,” Rakholia explained. “If they have married privately, that simplicity would make sense. There is no huge new centre stone or obvious attempt to stage a reveal. The rings have simply appeared as part of their everyday lives.”
Zendaya and Tom Holland recently married without anyone knowing. He believes that more and more celebrities could do this.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more so-called secret weddings over the next few years,” he said. “The way Zendaya and Tom handled theirs showed that even two of the most recognisable people in the world can still keep something that intimate to themselves. For celebrities who are increasingly protective of their personal lives, that will be very appealing.”
Eagle-eyed fans will have to look at celebrities’ ring fingers to determine whether or not they’ve tied the knot.
“The difference now is that the jewellery often becomes the clue,” Rakholia said. “The wedding itself may stay private, but the moment a ring appears on the left hand, the speculation begins.”
How long have they been together?
Cooper and Hadid were first spotted together in 2023. While they initially kept things casual, they reportedly grew more serious after several months together. In 2025, Hadid told Vogue that she and Cooper had a “very romantic and happy” relationship.
“I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential,” she said, “and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”
She added that she had a great deal of respect for him as a creative.
