Goldie Hawn discussed her relationship during a recent event

Goldie Hawn might not want to marry Kurt Russell, but she doesn’t mind talking about her longstanding romance with the Overboard star. Entertainment Tonight recently caught up with Hawn and asked her about her relationship. She was more than willing to delve into the reasons she and Russell have sidestepped marriage for over 40 years. She told the outlet that she felt like marriage would be taking something away from them as a couple, insisting that she prefers to be in a mindset where she chooses her partner each and every day. For 43 years, she’s done just that.

In previous interviews, Hawn has made similar comments, but also mentioned the expenses and emotions associated with a legal split. Hawn had been married twice before meeting Russell, and he was also divorced when they met. Clearly, they know what they are talking about on that.

Kurt Russell doesn’t think it would have changed anything anyway

Goldie Hawn isn’t the only one who has opened up about the decision to remain unmarried; Kurt Russell has addressed the decision, too. During a chat with Men’s Journal, Russell discussed his decision to never walk down the aisle again. He explained that, for all intents and purposes, a marriage certificate wouldn’t have changed anything for him and his longtime partner.
