Jessi Draper Was ‘Lying’ About Her Relationship Status at the AMAs, Said Body Language Expert
At this year’s American Music Awards, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper walked the red carpet with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette. Draper said that she and Burnette are not in a relationship. A body language expert cast doubt on her claim.
Jessi Draper spoke about her relationship status at the AMAs
Draper admitted to having an emotional affair with Burnette during her marriage to Jordan Ngatikaura. Now that her marriage has ended, they are continuing to spend time together. They were together on the AMA’s red carpet. She said that they’re not in a relationship, though.
“I am single, and we’re just spending time together,” she said.
Because of her divorce, she said she doesn’t want anything serious. Still, she enjoys the time she’s spending with him.
“I’m going through a divorce, so I’m not trying to be in anything serious,” she said. “We had a connection, so we’re just revisiting that. And he’s really been there for me. He knows my history — what I’ve been through — and we’re having fun right now.”
A body language expert said Jessi Draper wasn’t telling the truth about her relationship
While Draper said she isn’t dating Burnette, a body language expert doubts that this is true. She said that Draper’s body seemed to tell a different story than her words did.
“When she is being interviewed about their relationship status, Jessi smiles brightly but she’s shaking her head from side to side in a ‘no’ expression,” celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino CA said. “She knows she’s lying when she says she’s single, and her head shake signifies her disagreement with her own words.”
Honigman said that Brunette was like a “lovestruck puppy” in his interactions with Draper. He brushed her hair out of her face as she spoke, and looked at her with “attentiveness and care.”
“The unmistakable telltale sign comes when Marciano is about to add his two cents to the interview,” she explained. “He leans forward towards the microphone, when it becomes apparent that it is Jessi herself holding the microphone to Marciano’s lips. Her unwavering, steady support in letting him have his say, shows that there is a lot more than friendship at play.”
Honigman said it seems to her that Draper and Burnette are a lot more serious than they made themselves out to be.
“Their words may say that they’re two unattached singles just having fun, but their body language indicates beyond doubt, that Jessi and Marciano are in a committed relationship. This is a couple in love,” she said. “Even when they pose on the red carpet, Marciano kisses Jessi’s hair warmly and lovingly while pulling her towards him, as Jessi is seen raising her shoulder towards him in a flirtatious way, loving his affection.”
Her former husband filed for divorce
Ngatikaura filed for divorce on March 19.
“I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons,” he told People. “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect.”
While he was the one who filed, Draper said that the decision to end the marriage was hers.
“He was definitely trying to get ahead of something, which is ironic ’cause I’m the one who ended it. I told him on Friday the 13th, so not that long ago, and I just said I want a divorce,” Draper said on Call her Daddy. “He definitely didn’t want it, and now he’s the one rushing to do it, which is a little strange.”
