Taylor Swift was one of the A-list guests who attended the wedding of Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk in Gloucestershire, England. In photos from the nuptials on Aug. 15, the “Opalite” singer debuted a new short haircut that her fans have been buzzing about.

But it’s not just her hair that an expert noticed. Swift, who had her own star-studded grand wedding to Travis Kelce on July 3, displayed signs that she has really “settled into married life” with her husband.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert. He has a degree in psychology and previously worked as a police officer, using his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Stanton now offers his expert analysis on high-profile public figures.

Speaking on behalf of CanadaCasino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “One of the main things that comes over with Taylor’s body language is that she’s incredibly comfortable now. It’s clear that she’s settled into married life really easily. Looking at the recent pictures of her attending a wedding, she appears to be a world away from the person she was a few years ago, when she was just focused on the music alone.”

The expert continued, “Since meeting Travis and seeing that relationship develop, there’s this radiance about her. She’s molded herself into married life really easily. When you look at her engaging and talking to the other guests, she’s making a lot of hand gestures, which shows that she feels passionate about what she’s speaking about. When people punctuate with grammar, people also do that with their hands, which is what Taylor is doing here.

“There were also some interesting clips of her speaking to the bride and groom, where she was chatting to them casually. She didn’t want to draw attention to herself here and was keen for them to have the limelight, showing her as really authentic and grounded. They seemed to be having a good, natural conversation. The couple was matching Taylor’s body language too, which proves that there’s a good rapport between them and they’re on the same page.”

The expert added, “Taylor appears incredibly comfortable and, in some of the shots of her face, she just looks so at ease. Analyzing a close-up shot of her and another guest, she’s leaning into the conversation, which shows that she’s genuinely interested in what they’re saying. It also suggests that she feels part of the conversation and doesn’t feel left out. She’s also giving good eye contact with the person, which is fixed eye gaze, again showing that she’s in rapport with them.”

Stanton also talked about the significance of Swift’s new hairstyle, explaining, “With her hair, it’s a change. I think she’s in a period of transition. In psychology, when people go through life experiences and make changes, it won’t just be one thing — it will be several. Maybe she thinks it’s time for a change and some self-renewal. She’s married now and embracing a new period of her relationship with Travis. The fact she’s changed her hair suggests that internally, she’s feeling this and it’s a new chapter in her life.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
