Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton Could be F1’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Because of What Hamilton Has Already Done
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have had fans buzzing after they were spotted together in Paris and the U.K. The two then made a public appearance in the U.S. when they attended Super Bowl LX.
An insider told US Weekly that the reality TV star and the Formula 1 driver have actually known each other for years and that the longtime friends went on “a few dates recently” and for now, things are just “casual.” But that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating and wondering if we’re witnessing something similar to what we saw with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Like Swift, Kardashian is one of the most famous women on the planet, and even if you don’t watch her family’s TV show or buy her SKIMS shapewear, you know exactly who she is. And just like Kelce, Hamilton is an absolute superstar in his sport and has won multiple championships.
Now, British F1 legend Johnny Herbert is sharing why he believes Hamilton and Kardashian could become racing’s Swift and Kelce.
Speaking on behalf of Snabbare, Herbert told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “If Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian become the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce of F1, that would be great. Formula 1 is in such a special place … It’s not only good for Formula 1, it’s good for Lewis as well. It only makes him more popular around the world. He was probably popular in Europe, Asia, Japan, and Australia, but America was still small.
“You can see them being compared with Taylor and Travis … And having Kim at Grand Prix will be brilliant.”
The three-time Grand Prix winner added that Hamilton has dated famous women before and that has never affected his racing, noting, “When Lewis Hamilton was with Nicole Scherzinger, it wasn’t a problem then. He was winning championships … Every single driver does things differently and Lewis has always been around music and fashion and he’s always mixed it around with fellow artists in the music world.
“Does his relationship with Kim Kardashian interfere? No, because those types of drivers are very, very good at literally having a switch and they switch it off when they’re away from it and he will be switching on when he needs to when he gets into the cockpit. There will be times where there is that downtime as well and everybody deserves that downtime. Lewis will be absolutely fine.”
Hamilton and Scherzinger dated on and off from 2007 to 2015. The racing star was also linked to a number of other high-profile ladies over the years, including Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora, Sofia Richie, Winnie Harlow, Barbara Palvin, and Nicki Minaj.
Before Hamilton, Kim’s most high-profile relationships were with former running back Reggie Bush from 2007 to 2010, her brief union with former NBA player Kris Humphries, her six-year marriage to Kanye West, and her nine-month relationship with comedian Pete Davidson.
