The festivities coincided with the Paris premiere of her new legal drama, All’s Fair, and kicked off with the star stepping out in a vintage baby-blue satin gown by Dior at the red-carpet event. Her Instagram Stories captured personal touches that softened the glitz. She had a tower of cakes, a massive croissant she initially mistook for cake, and heartfelt bouquets.
In the vlog, Kim discussed the sweet gifts her mother, Kris Jenner, got her. She pulled out a red crocodile Hermès Shoulder Birkin while in her hotel room and immediately displayed it on her shoulder. Jean Paul Gaultier crafted the bag originally, which Kim mentions in the TikTok. According to Page Six, he created the design in 2004 and served as the Hermès creative director until 2010. However, Kim notes that her red Birkin is from 2001.
Following the red crocodile Birkin reveal, Kim unwraps another Birkin classic. “You know I love my Kelly Cuts,” she said to the person holding the camera, referring to the Birkin clutch. “She got me a beige one — a dark beige one. I have a light beige one.”
She continued to rave about the red Birkin bag, calling it “so rich” and claiming she’d wear it with a red nail to match.

Unbeknownst to Kim, Kris purchased the same bag as a birthday gift for Kylie Jenner, who had included it on her wish list. Kim was unaware of this and was shocked to see Kylie post a photo of the bag on social media.
Feeling betrayed, Kim confronted her mother, leading to a heated argument. Kim admitted to becoming “a monster” during the confrontation, pulling out receipts to prove her prior interest in the bag. Fortunately, her sister, Khloé Kardashian, stepped in, having already purchased the same bag for Kim’s upcoming birthday, and gifted it to her early, resolving the issue.
“It is so ridiculous over a bag, but it was my most recent crash out,” Kardashian admitted while talking about the incident on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

The bag retailed for around $33,000 at the time and could barely fit the essentials, making the luxury bag appear all the more frivolous.
Just a few months prior, Khloé was also spotted with a crocodile Hermès Birkin bag in white, and Kim owns the smaller version.
