Zoë Kravitz officially became engaged to Harry Styles in 2026. The couple first sparked dating rumors in August 2025, and after a whirlwind romance, Zoë was spotted with a huge diamond on that finger. Before Styles, fans famously knew that Zoë and actor Channing Tatum were engaged. So, what does Zoë’s famous father, Lenny Kravitz, think of both Tatum and Styles? Lenny Kravitz approved of Channing Tatum marrying Zoë Kravitz
Well before Zoë Kravitz was engaged to Harry Styles, she was engaged to Channing Tatum. Tatum and Zoë reportedly began dating in 2021. They then got engaged in October 2023 after keeping their romance relatively private. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make their romance work. They parted ways in October 2024 after reports suggested the love fizzled out.
Lenny Kravitz, Zoë’s rock-star father, seemed to adore Tatum. In January 2024, he told Entertainment Tonight that he was happy that Tatum made his daughter happy.
“Hey man, that’s life,” Lenny said. “When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that’s it — I’ve done well. Blessed.”
Additionally, he told People in January 2024 that he likes Tatum “very much.” Lenny said his daughter and Tatum “have something that’s naturally special.” Even more importantly, “they also do the work. They are dedicated. That’s what it’s all about. It’s beautiful to watch.”
According to Hello!, Lenny also praised Tatum during his appearance on BBC Radio 2 with Zoe Ball in May 2024. “He’s a really great guy, he was raised well, so he’s got manners, he’s charming, he’s a soulful human being, and so he’s become part of the family quite quickly,” Lenny said. “He fits, and they’re in love.”
The rock star once commented on whether he believes his fashion evolution influenced Harry Styles
Years before Zoë Kravitz was romantically linked to Harry Styles, Lenny Kravitz commented on the younger pop star. In 2021, he told People that he and Styles “met years ago on the road,” and they “became friendly.” Lenny was then asked whether he believes Styles was “heavily influenced” by the rock star’s fashion sense.
“I think there’s several things in there, and one of them could possibly be me,” Lenny said at the time.
“We met years ago on the road and became friendly, [he’s a] really sweet guy,” the star continued. “And he was evolving from his group to what he’s doing now, solo.”
“So, it’s nice to see him in the suits and the boas and all this stuff that I did back in the ’90s,” he said.
Lenny has yet to comment on Zoë and Styles’ 2026 engagement news. However, he appeared to support their love. In September 2025, E! News reported that Styles and Zoë joined Lenny for a pleasant sushi lunch.
