Lip Reader Catches What Liam Neeson Told Pamela Anderson About Being a ‘Couple’ During Their Red Carpet Appearance
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson star in the new movie The Naked Gun and recently attended the London premiere.
On July 22, the co-stars walked the red carpet together for the U.K. premiere of the iconic action-comedy remake and appeared super relaxed in each other’s company. At one point, Anderson was even seen giving Neeson a kiss on the cheek as they posed for photos.
That, along with some of the things they have said about each other, sparked romance rumors. Now, a lip reader is lifting the lid on exactly what Neeson was saying to the Baywatch actress while they stood close and smiled for the cameras.
Lip-reading expert shares what Neeson said to Anderson while on the carpet together
Nicola Hickling is a lip-reading expert and the founder of LipReader, a company specializing in lipreading and expert witness reports. Hickling has spearheaded the development of innovative technologies and services that empower individuals with hearing impairments. She has also appeared in the likes of the Daily Mail, Page Six, Newsweek, and more. Hickling analyzed video of the two on the carpet and revealed what she observed them talking about.
Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, the expert told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that right after Anderson looked up at her co-star and nestled her head against his shoulder, he told her, “I feel like a couple right now.” In response, Anderson lifted her arms out and referred to the wet weather, noting: “It’s only rain.” Neeson then replied, “Look at this.”
Moments later, Anderson planted a kiss on his cheek.
According to Hickling, when handlers started guiding them in certain directions Anderson asked Neeson, “Are you alright?” to which he responds, “I don’t want to do this.” Anderson appeared genuinely concerned and asked, “Oh, why?” He replied: “She said, I’ll just ruin it.”
“She said this to you today?” Anderson inquired, before he declared, “Maybe I am past all this … Yes, definitely.”
Hickling noticed Anderson later flashing Neeson a mischievous smile and saying, “Let’s just run away.” He then tells her, “Yeah. I think I’m too old for this.”
She disagrees, “No, you’re shy. Enjoy it.” He then adds: “You’re perfect.”
Neeson said that he is ‘madly in love’ with Anderson
Anderson and Neeson had such high praise for each other when asked about working on the film together.
In an interview with People, Neeson said: “I’m madly in love with her. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”
The Last Showgirl star was equally impressed with the Taken actor, telling Entertainment Tonight: “Our chemistry was clear from the start. We have the utmost respect for one another. I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed ‘professionally romantic’ during filming.”
Anderson added: “I am in awe of him, his experience, and work ethic. I soaked him in like a sponge.”
