Lorrana From ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ Is ‘Starting Over’ Just One Year After Welcoming Baby With Garrick Merrifield
Lorrana from Seeking Sister Wife is embracing a new chapter in life.
On July 1, the TLC alum took to Instagram to share a photo of her and her daughter holding the key to their new home.

“Sometimes, starting over means starting from scratch. And that’s okay,” she wrote. “Today, I can finally say that my daughter and I have a place to call home.”
Lorrana, who welcomed a baby with her Seeking Sister Wife co-star Garrick Merrifield last July, said that she and her daughter still needed a lot of things to start their new life. But independence was precious.
The home “represents something money could never buy: a fresh start,” she shared. “This place is more than just an address. It’s where I’ll rebuild my life, one day at a time.”
“Starting over is never easy. It’s scary, uncertain, and it asks more of us than we ever thought we could give. But sometimes life leads us down paths we never planned, and all we can do is keep moving forward,” Lorrana continued.
Lorrana married Garrick Merrifield in October 2024
Lorrana’s life has changed dramatically since viewers met her in Seeking Sister Wife Season 6. That season followed Garrick and his wife Dannielle Merrifield as they brought Lorrana to the U.S. from Brazil so that she could legally marry Garrick and become Dannielle’s sister wife. Lorrana and Garrick tied the knot in October 2024, and she gave birth to their first child in July 2025.
In a November 2025 interview with People, the Merrifields introduced their daughter to the world. At the time, they presented themselves as the perfect plural family.
“Co-parenting as a plural family has been wonderful, to have all the support and be there for each other. It’s a blessing to have all of our family involved helping each other,” Garrick said. “…It’s been a big blessing to have such a big family with all the love and support and to be there for each other.”
But behind the scenes, things were starting to unravel with the Merrifields. In late November, Garrick was arrested on domestic violence charges related to an incident with Lorrana. She says that Garrick took her phone away from her during an argument, prevented her from calling her family, and threatened to report her to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), The Mountain Mail reported. In the subsequent months, she made various comments on social media suggesting she had left Garrick and Dannielle and was seeking legal advice.
