The 2025 Met Gala dress code, “Tailored for You,” did not disappoint. While many celebrities stunned and created fashion gold with their attire at the spring exhibition titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Madonna‘s accessories had people talking.

The Material Girl returned to the Met Gala for the first time since 2018 when she attended the event themed “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination.”

This year, Madge looked chic in an all-white, perfectly-tailored Tom Ford suit with a bow tie and matching blazer while her earlobes dripped with some serious sparkle.

Read on to find out the jaw-dropping price of Madonna’s diamond earrings, and what a body language expert says the singer and her boyfriend wanted to convey when they arrived on the red carpet.

The whopping cost of Madonna’s earrings

Madonna wore double piercings in each ear, showing off round-cut and pear-cut diamonds. Now, the gem and diamond experts at U.K. jewelry retailer Steven Stone have taken a closer look at those to determine how much they’re worth.

“Madonna may have embraced a natural look at the Met Gala, but she certainly didn’t hold back on the bling — one earlobe looked like it was doing overtime just to support the sparkle,” Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “With double piercings in each ear, the Queen of Pop flaunted 3.5-carat pear-cut diamonds totalling $80,000 and 3-carat round-cut stunners totalling $94,000 – because when it comes to diamonds, minimalism clearly has its limits.

“Often seen as a symbol of empowerment and individuality,  the pear-cut diamond mirrors Madonna’s fearless reinvention and trailblazing spirit throughout her career. In contrast, the round-cut diamond, known for its timeless elegance and enduring brilliance, reflects her lasting impact on pop culture and her status as an icon who continues to shine across generations.”

Body language expert says Madonna and Akeem Morris came across as a ‘power couple’

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”

Stanton opined that Madonna and her boyfriend, Akeem Morris, gave off “power couple” vibes when they stood on the carpet together.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Madonna and her boyfriend Akeem Morris appeared very much the power couple on the red carpet. The pair stood together posing for photos and looked extremely comfortable in each other’s company. Madonna placed herself slightly in front and spaced out her body, signalling that she was the dominant one in the relationship at that moment.

“She came across as incredibly confident and self-assured internally. It was clear she wanted to project the image of being one of the most important figures at the Gala, and together they presented themselves as a strong unit. While it’s rare to see Madonna on a red carpet, she made sure her presence was felt last night.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
