Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Reached Out to Ronnie Ortiz Magro After His Troubling Behavior: ‘Will Help Where I Can’
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is speaking out about his Jersey Shore co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s concerning appearance at a recent event promoting the MTV show.
Fans of the show popular reality show became alarmed when Ronnie appeared to doze off during an on-camera interview promoting the final season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Days earlier he walked the red carpet for the show’s premiere, but his team allegedly prevented him from talking to reporters because he was too intoxicated.
“Ronnie was too messed up to do any interviews,” a source told The Sun. “He took photos on the carpet at the start, but then he was taken away while everyone did the press line.”
The reality star’s out-of-it demeanor comes shortly after his ex-girlfriend called the cops to report a domestic dispute between the pair.

So far, Ronnie has not addressed his behavior during the Family Vacation press tour. But on Thursday, his longtime Jersey Shore castmate acknowledged that he was worried about his friend.
“I want to be clear that I am not responsible for the actions of any other cast member,” Mike wrote on his Instagram Story. “At the same time, my heart is heavy seeing what Ron, a grown adult, chose to present during press.”
“This situation is still developing, and while I do not know the full extent of what he may be going through, I do know it is separate from my path. I will help where I can, including through my organization, Archangel Centers.”

The Situation has been open about his own struggles with substance abuse. He has been sober since 2015. In his post, he said he’d contacted Ronnie to offer support, but he had not received a response.
“I reached out to check in an offer my support and I am still waiting to hear back. If he is willing, I will be there for him,” he wrote.
The Situation ended his message by saying that he “heart is with anyone who is struggling.”
“I have worked hard to protect my sobriety for nearly 11 years,” he wrote. “I honor that every day while continuing to show up with compassion for others.
The final season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation premieres Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
