Bunnie Xo has previously opened up about her difficult divorce from Jelly Roll. The podcast host recently revealed how the split took a toll on both her emotional and physical well-being. Her relationship with food worsened to such a level that she lost 20 pounds while dealing with the emotional devastation.

The former couple spent nearly 10 years together. They first met in 2015 in Las Vegas and soon hit it off. The following year, they took their relationship to the next level and tied the knot. In 2018, they faced a major roadblock in their marriage due to the Grammy-winning singer’s infidelity.

After working through the struggles, they renewed their wedding vows in 2023. However, the singer filed for divorce, ending their marriage. Their divorce was officially finalized in July.

According to Taste of Country, Xo revealed that her divorce was not easy on her. During her latest appearance on Jenna Bush Hager’s Open Book podcast, the 46-year-old said, “There were moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs.” She continued to share how she “wasn’t eating” after her former husband filed for divorce.

The podcaster shared, “I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds.” Despite recalling the devastating period, she attempted to put a funny spin on the situation, saying, “Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”

While the podcaster chose to move forward in life, it did not mean that she was not hurt. “That’s all you can do,” she said before adding, “When life hands you lemons, make freaking lemonade.”

Back in June, the podcaster opened up about the real reason behind her divorce. According to Entertainment Weekly, she sang praises for her ex-husband, attributing her success to him. “I truly feel that my husband was the catalyst for me becoming the woman that I am today,” an emotional Xo said on Roll on her Dumb Blonde podcast.

Furthermore, she noted that she feels her ex-husband would not have been the man he is if it were not for her. Calling him her best friend, she reflected on the 10 years she spent with Roll. “He has always been my best friend, and I love that man more than life itself,” she claimed.

Moving forward in the podcast, Xo revealed that a Mother’s Day argument led to the downfall of her marriage. She refused to share the details but disclosed that she was fed up. Eventually, she suggested that he file for divorce.

The podcaster argued that her ultimatum was a big deal in their marriage, as it never came from her. Although Roll had said such things to her, she never thought of it as an option. Therefore, when she asked him to divorce her, it meant something.

Following the deal-breaking argument, Xo left the house with a packed bag and did not speak to her then-husband for weeks. Hinting at a hope for reconciliation, she announced, “Was I blindsided? And was this divorce mutual? No, I was not. It was not mutual.” The

A heartbroken Xo also confirmed that her anger drove her ultimatum. However, she believes that it was a wake-up call that she and Roll needed to converse with each other more.
