Jennifer Lawrence’s Surgery Confession Fuels Fresh Debate Over Her Changing Looks
Jennifer Lawrence’s recent surgery admission has sparked debate about her allegedly changed appearance. The Hunger Games star confirmed that she had breast surgery to achieve a desired appearance that she lost after her second pregnancy. She has consistently denied going under the knife to change her facial structure. However, when asked artificial intelligence to reveal what she would have looked like without surgical procedures, the result tells a different story.
The Don’t Look Up actress often candidly talks about what procedures she wants to undergo. According to the Mirror, she once admitted to having baby Botox. The actress revealed that she goes for small Botox procedures to better her skin and yet have movement in her face.
Time and again, she has expressed her wish to go under the knife. However, the actress did not admit that she actually did something to change her facial structure. According to Interview Magazine, she cited makeup and ageing as the reason behind her more structured face in 2023. She said, “I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.”
She then clarified that she did not have eye surgery. Instead, it is makeup that helps her define her eyes better. The actress further addressed that people compare her recent photos to those from when she started in the industry. She said, “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30, and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.”
When the Mirror asked AI to generate a picture of Lawrence without any potential cosmetic surgeries she had, it looked a lot like photos from the early 20s. Her eyes appeared fuller despite the effect her growing age has had. She had fine lines and more mature cheeks.
Lawrence’s latest photo shoot also led Reddit users to discuss whether she had some work done on her face. One critic wrote, “I wouldn’t recognize this woman as Jennifer Lawrence.” Another one penned, “Why do celebrities feel the need to get work done?” Many others expressed their disappointment, saying they did not want JLaw to lose her natural looks.
Besides fans, a plastic surgeon also shared their analysis, revealing whether the actress had surgery or not. According to the Daily Mail, Dr. Melinda Kimbrell revealed, “The most obvious procedural changes appear to be around her eyes.” She added that Lawrence had less hooding than before and her outer brow seemed more elevated.
The doctor ruled out a potential “upper blepharoplasty” that the actress underwent. Kimbrell, who has never treated the actress, suggested that she may have also combined the procedure with a “brow lift and a lateral eye lift.”
After performing more than 1,000 procedures, Kimbrell claimed that Lawrence may have also had “selective fat grafting” near her eye and upper cheek. However, she clarified that the No Hard Feelings star may have opted for non-surgical procedures. Moreover, her weight loss could have helped her achieve a more chiselled face.
