Julia Roberts Gives Her Signature Look a Bold, Playful Makeover With Latest Hair Transformation
Julia Roberts appeared to be entering a new era with her hairstyle. The actress, who often switches between her signature auburn and red hair, this time landed somewhere in between. She gave her honey-blonde hair a pinkish touch.
The 58-year-old recently stepped out in New York City to attend Moncler’s newest Fifth Avenue location’s opening party. She was among the celebrities, including Jessica Chastain, Serena Williams, Anne Hathaway, and many others, who were present at the dinner. According to Hello!, the Notting Hill star brought her fashion A-Game to the event and successfully turned heads.
She opted for a menswear-coded look with a white button-down shirt and black tailored slacks. Roberts added some drama to her look with a black bow tie and a matching shimmery puffer jacket. Her new hair color popped with the contrast that she made with her ensemble.
Roberts is often seen choosing different shades of blonde to dye her hair. This time, she ditched her honey blonde and gave her locks a pink hue. A middle parting and soft waves further made her look apt for the occasion.

The Pretty Woman star often experiments with her hair. She has trusted haistylist Serge Normant for more than three decades. Having a go-to hairstylist does not mean Roberts has no ideas of her own, although Normant sometimes does not approve of them.
She once spoke about her partnership with her hairstylist and revealed that she had suggested cutting all her hair off. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roberts revealed, “Sometimes I do suggest things, and he just looks at me. Gently. With his eyes saying, ‘No.’ It usually involves me wanting to cut all my hair off!” the actress joked.
Roberts said that she and Normant do not always need a lengthy conversation to create a look. “Serge is so gifted and can do absolutely anything with hair, so, lucky for me, there is no need to go elsewhere for anything,” she boasted about the hairstylist before calling him her family.
Speaking about her appearance, the actress has consistently denied opting for cosmetic procedures to look younger. She often joked about risking her career in Hollywood with her decision. However, this does not mean that Roberts did not face criticism over her aging.
She once posed makeup-free for a picture with her niece, Emma Roberts, and the internet had things to say. The actress faced massive criticism over her aging face and visible wrinkles. According to Harper’s Bazaar, she once recalled the incident and how the internet reacted to her morning look.
She recalled, “One weekend morning Emma slept over, and we got up and were having tea and playing cards and having this beautiful morning, and then a couple of days later, she posted a picture of us.” The actress further reflected on the darker side of the internet, sharing that she was hurt by the comments.
“I was amazed at how that made me feel. I’m a 50-year-old woman and I know who I am, and still my feelings got hurt,” she shared at the time. The actress further pointed out that the internet is a scary place and wondered what would have happened if she were a 15-year-old.
