Kim Kardashian appears to be sharing more secrets than ever in her authorized biography, Citizen Kim, by author Jonathan Van Meter. The reality TV star spilled some behind-the-scenes struggles and anecdotes from her teenage life in the book. She also opened up about her first husband, Damon Thomas, who sent her father n—- pictures of her and her sister.

According to the Daily Mail, Kardashian eloped with Thomas when she was only 19 years old. They took their vows at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, with Kardashian wearing a backless halter-neck top. However, as soon as they got married, their bond was in shambles within a few years. 

The beauty mogul was working at a Los Angeles fashion boutique at the time and hiding the fact that she had moved in with Thomas. When Kris Jenner finally found out, she gave her 24 hours to spill the secret to her father, Rob Kardashian. The beauty mogul shared, “It was the hardest call I ever had to make,” as everyone was mad at her.

Kardashian described what it was like living with Thomas. “He would show up in the Ferrari, and all my friends thought he was the coolest guy. ‘Come on, girls, let’s all go to this Justin Timberlake session.’ We went skydiving with Damon and Justin,” she revealed. 

Her life as Thomas’ wife was also filled with materialistic luxuries. It included renting out expensive mansions whose rent could go up to $12,500 for a month. The record producer also had four leased vehicles, while his younger wife would spend $15,000 a month on shopping. 

Kardashian also learned to cook for her husband at the time from a group of backup singers. She recalled, “The first time I ever tried to make Damon some chicken, it wasn’t even fully cooked. And these backup singers were like, ‘Oh, no, girl, you need to learn how to make chicken!’” 

While Kardashian may have enjoyed her time as his wife for some time, she shared several details about what went wrong in their marriage. The court documents from their divorce in 2003 revealed that the record producer was controlling. Although the documents were never presented in court, they revealed that the couple owed $466,030 in unpaid taxes. 

The series of controlling issues presented in the documents included Thomas asking Kardashian to quit her job. She also alleged that she was not allowed to stay in contact with any of her ex-boyfriends. Thomas wanted to know where she was all the time and only leave the house after informing him where she was going. 

“He often arrived home at 4:30 am and expected me to prepare a meal for him at that hour,” Kardashian shared. He also asked her to quit college and influenced her against her own family. When these details sounded a bit extreme, she noted that Thomas brought her father her and her sister’s n—-.

“My father called me, outraged, to tell me that Damon had brought n— pictures of my sister to his office, showed him the photos, and said, ‘Your daughters are w—–, and I have the pictures to prove it.’” she wrote in the court documents. She continued, “He then made packages and sent the pictures gift-wrapped to my best friend’s place of employment in Encino to scare us.”

Kardashian also learned about Thomas’ alleged cheating at one point. Her family was unhappy to see her in such a marriage. Therefore, she once sneaked into the house to pack her bags and leave for good. He first divorce was finalized in 2003.
