Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter, North West’s choice of lifestyle appears to be much different from that of any other teenager. The 13-year-old, who recently debuted her solo concert, often comes under fire for her appearance. Her latest TikTok video brought back the conversation over her parenting when viewers spotted the teenager had throat piercings. 

North’s go-to look includes long blue hair, long nails, trendy outfits, many accessories, real and fake piercings, and faux tattoos. Sometimes she also opts for black lipstick and matching stain for her teeth. While her fans have gotten used to her appearance, she recently appeared to give them something new to talk about. 

The teenager took to her TikTok account to share a new clip. According to Marca, she could be seen lip-syncing Hoobastank’s hit track The Reason in the video. What caught everyone’s attention was the two metal studs on her throat. Many wondered whether the piercing was real, expressing their concern about the teenager’s styling choices.

A social media user exclaimed, “A throat piercing?!” Another user noted, “This is so sad…” While North did not clarify whether the piercing was real or fake, she previously addressed such concerns. 

Both North and Kardashian answered many fans’ questions during a live stream earlier this month. During the interaction, the teenager confirmed, “Guys, these piercings are not real.” She noted that the piercings fans see in her everyday style are fake. “I change them so much that you guys think it’s real,” she explained.

Kardashian joined in to ask viewers, “Yeah, how do people think that they’re real if they’re all different, all the time?” She also revealed her daughter’s urge to get a piercing ever since she was a little girl. “When she was a baby, dropping her off at school, all she wanted was … her septum pierced or her eyebrow pierced,” the beauty mogul recalled. When North revealed she wanted a bridge piercing, her mother asked her to stick to gluing them for now. 

The SKIMS founder was often criticized for being an absent parent due to her daughter’s appearance. Many questioned her parenting, asking her not to be her daughter’s friend. However, Kardashian recently clapped back at critics, extending her support to North. How did she do it? By dressing up as her daughter ahead of Halloween. 

The mother of four recently dropped pictures of her channeling North. She appeared to go all in to look like the teenager. From blue hair to long nails, black outfit, makeup, faux piercings, tattoos, accessories, and much more. Kardashian also put the black stain on her teeth to resemble her firstborn’s style.

Her look was so on point that many fans confused her for North. According to the Mirror, a fan commented, “IM SHOOOOOOOK I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST POSTING YOUR DAUGHTER TWINS FORSURE.” Another Instagram user commented, “I thought it was Northie for a split second.” “I thought this was our nieceeeeee omgggggggg mother of the yearrrrrr u don’t play about ur baby,” a third fan wrote.

Many fans also labeled Kardashian the “coolest mom ever” for her spin for Halloween. Some also praised North for making a unique image in the public eye very early in life. One fan wrote, “Imagine having so much aura as a kid that your mom is you for Halloween.”
