For Halloween, the Frida star wore a blonde bob hairdo. She wore a black top and layered it with a matching leather jacket. For bottoms, Hayek wore a pair of floor-length jeans. Who did she channel for the spooky festival? Her longtime friend Penélope Cruz.
According to HELLO!, Hayek looked unrecognizable as she became Piña from Cruz’s latest movie, The Invite. She attended Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun’s Halloween party. However, it was not the costume that held the most importance; it was her embracing two cultures at once.
Sharing several snaps from the last few days, Hayek noted that she has learned how to cherish two cultures at once. In the caption, she penned, “After so many years of living between cultures, I’ve learned that I can embrace new traditions without letting go of the ones that shaped me.”
The 60-year-old continued to note that Halloween lets her play dress up. She gave a nod to Cruz before noting that the festival of Día de Muertos brings her back home. Hayek further penned that the day was not about costumes for her, but about remembering and placing a photo on the altar.
“Two very different traditions, each with its own meaning, and both part of the life I’ve built between cultures,” she wrote. Concluding her lengthy note, she wished her fans “Happy Día de los Muertos.”
Earlier this year, when Hayek turned 60, she treated her fans with a glimpse of her skinny-dipping session. The actress left very little to the imagination when she lay on the ground with water touching her body. In another picture, she soaked in the sun in the midst of swimming.
The From Dusk Till Dawn star stood, showing her back to the camera. She covered her face with her hands as the lake protected her modesty. “60 and grateful,” she wrote in the caption while her fans went crazy seeing her photos.

She refuses to look “overproduced,” as she says, “Everybody is too overproduced, and they look gorgeous, but that’s not the look I want for myself.”
Instead of fillers, she believes more in makeup. Another beauty rule that Hayek follows is not dying her hair. At times, she uses mascara to fix her hair, but she revealed that she is against coloring it.
Hayek revealed that looking after her beauty came rather naturally to her. “I’m very lucky because I had this grandmother who was obsessed with beauty and knew all kinds of tricks,” she said. Therefore, she advised women to change their makeup and beauty routines with time.
