Mendes made the relationship Instagram official with a heartfelt birthday tribute to Marquezine, who turned 31. In the caption, he called her “a light and a mãe in every room you walk into,” adding, “Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life and I am so so grateful for you,” before switching to Portuguese to tell her he loves her. The post included videos of the two volunteering together at Casa Amarela Providência, a cultural and educational center in Rio de Janeiro, where Marquezine was seen singing and dancing with a room full of children.
Marquezine is a well-known name in Brazil, where she’s built a career as an actress, model, and filmmaker. The Brazilian star has had several high-profile relationships, including one with soccer star Neymar. Their on-again-off-again romance spanned from 2013 to 2018, when they split for good. She later dated her “Amor da Minha Vida” co-star João Guilherme for about a year in 2024.
