The state of Princess Beatrice‘s marriage has been a topic in the headlines for months.

The rumors and reports that Beatrice’s marriage to Edoardo “Edo” Mapelli Mozzi is on the rocks began around the time her father (formerly Prince Andrew) moved to Sandringham after being evicted from Royal Lodge and her mother, Sarah Ferguson, fled the U.K. amid the fallout over their association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Not only did Beatrice have to deal with the embarrassment of her parents’ decisions, but she was put under a microscope while her husband traveled solo to the U.S.

When several publications noted that Edo, who is a property developer, had been away from home a lot and was traveling overseas for work since January, a friend of the couple told Hello! “Bea and Edo are navigating their busy jobs and looking after their children! They’ve both had recent stints working abroad and like so many working parents, have been balancing work with looking after the kids.

“Recent reports that things aren’t good between them are not true at all. Things are great between them and the only distance between them recently has been physical distance because of work!”

However, the separtion rumors started up again when Edo did not publicly mark or celebrate the pair’s wedding anniversary via Instagram like he usually does.

A source told Women’s Day, “It really doesn’t look good. Even in the best case scenario, this proves he’s clearly in no mood to celebrate the relationship, or even try to put an end to all the rumours that have been swirling for months now about trouble in the marriage. Naturally, a lot of people are taking it as strong evidence that he’s got one foot out the door and that divorce seems to be inevitable.”

Since then the marital trouble talk has intensified, so Edo decided to put a stop to that by breaking his social media silence with a gushing tribute to his wife.

He marked Princess Beatrice’s 38th birthday on Aug. 8 with a carousl of photos including of them dressed up by a beach, and another on the day of Peter and Harriet Phillips’ wedding. Edo captioned the snaps: “Happy Birthday to my phenomenal, beautiful wife. We love you so much. You make our world. Love E,W,S,A xxxx.”

Princess Beatrice and Edo share two daughters, Sienna and Athena. Edo also has a son, Christopher Woolf, nicknamed “Wolfie,” from his previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.
