Princess Diana received an ominous warning from a trusted psychic friend shortly before her tragic death.

Diana’s strong interest in psychics, astrology, energy healers, and other new age practice is well-known. Over the years, she frequently turned to practitioners in those fields for guidance and support. It was one of those people who delivered a frightening warning to the Princess of Wales not long before she was killed in a car accident in Paris in 1997.

Psychic warned Princess Diana’s boyfriend Dodi Fayed not to go to Paris

“Shortly before her death, Diana asked her longtime friend and spiritual advisor Rita Rogers to do a reading for her then-boyfriend Dodi Fayed,” Christopher Andersen, author of The King, said in a 2024 interview with Fox News Digital. “Diana wanted to know what the future had in store for him. Rogers claimed to be visited by the spirit of Dodi’s dead mother Samira, who warned her son not to go driving in Paris.”

Rogers reportedly “saw a tunnel, motorcycles, this tremendous sense of speed,’” Andersen claimed. “Rogers told Diana to warn Dodi, but at the time it didn’t occur to her that Diana might be in the car alongside him. ‘I would have warned her as well,’ Rogers said, ‘but I just didn’t see her in the car with him.’ Spooky stuff.”

But Diana might not have needed Rogers’ insights to know that tragedy was looming. “She predicted in writing on several occasions that she would probably die in a car crash,” Andersen said. “She believed it would be an assassination staged to look like an accident.”

Psychic Rita Rogers called Diana a friend

Diana met Rogers in 1994 through a friend, and two quickly became close. Rogers has said she considered the princess a friend. In fact, Rogers was one of the last people Diana spoke to before her accident. Rogers – the granddaughter of a Romany seer – has said she was haunted by her failure to foresee her friend’s death.

“In that last phone call to me, I told her I wanted her to come home straight away, rather than in the dark,” she told The Derbyshire Times. Diana assured Rogers she would be careful. Hours later, the psychic turned on the TV and saw the news of the accident.

“I have helped to save so many lives in the past by giving warnings in time,” she said.  “I don’t understand why I couldn’t save hers.”

Following Diana’s passing, Rogers has said she was offered significant sums of money to reveal private information the royal revealed to her during readings. But Rogers has declined those offers.

”I was offered 250,000 [pounds] to talk about her private life, but how could I? She was my friend,” she said in a 2003 interview with The Herald

However, Rogers was able to share one detail about Diana. She said that the troubled princess had found the peace that eluded her in life.

”I know she’s very happy now,” Rogers said.
