Wendy Osefo is headed to court.

The Real Housewives of Potomac star’s joint fraud trial with her husband, Eddie Osefo, has been scheduled for January 25-29, 2027, The Baltimore Banner reports. The Osefos are both charged with multiple counts of insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud.

Wendy and Eddie Osefo lied about break-in at their home, prosecutors say

Police arrested the Osefos last October after an investigation uncovered evidence that they lied about an alleged April 2024 break-in at their Maryland home. The Osefos told police that thieves had made off with $400,000 in handbags, jewelry, and other items, and then submitted claims for those losses to multiple insurance companies. Investigators say they found that many of the supposedly stolen items were either still in the Osefos’ possession or had been returned to the store before the supposed burglary. They also uncovered emails that appear to show the couple conspiring to maximize the amount of losses they claimed.

Prosecutors have said that the Bravo stars were financially strapped and living beyond their means, leading to the fraud. Wendy previously worked as a visiting assistant professor at Wesleyan University before resigning after her arrest. Eddie is an entrepreneur who runs a cannabis business, Happy Eddie.

Wendy continuing to film for ‘RHOP’ Season 11

Despite her legal troubles, Wendy has continued to film for the upcoming 11th season of RHOP. Bravo’s camera were reportedly present on Wednesday to document the couple’s arrival at and departure from Carroll County Circuit Court, where they attended a status conference that set the dates for their upcoming trial.

RHOP Season 10 wrapped filming before the Osefos were arrested. But producers caught up with the couple in the days after they were taken into custody and held in jail overnight.

“I feel like I’m in a constant, like, nightmare,” Wendy told Eddie in footage that aired during RHOP Season 10 reunion. “The house doesn’t even feel the same. And I have to eat, but I’m not hungry.  And, like, I just have no desire, no appetite, no nothin’.”

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would lead to us being taken away in handcuffs,” Wendy added. “It’s so crazy. It feels like a bad dream. … I was so scared.”

Wendy and Eddie also worried about how their upcoming trial would affect their marriage.

“I just know after this incident, I’m not the same person,” she said. “And I hope that’ll be OK with you, because I’m not the same. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same.”
