The jury has spoken.

On Thursday, Aubry Bracco was crowned the winner of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

Aubry beat out 23 other Survivor alums – including the other two final castaways, Joe Hunter and Jonathan Young – to become this season’s Sole Survivor. She takes home a $2 million prize and a new Toyota Land Cruiser.

Want to know more about Aubry? Here are some facts about the Survivor 50 winner.

Aubry Bracco competed on three previous seasons of ‘Survivor’

Before becoming a contestant on the landmark 50th season of Survivor, Aubry honed her skills on three other seasons: Kaôh Rōng (season 32), Game Changers (season 34), and Edge of Extinction (season 38). She’s said she was honored to be selected as a returning player this season.

“I could never have imagined that the experiences on island would change my life in such significant ways. The lessons, though not always easy, have shaped my adulthood,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “The feeling of being chosen? I’m profoundly honored, grateful, and ready to go!”

She’s a mom of one

Aubry and her partner, Tyler Morrow, welcomed their first child, a son named Odin, in August 2022. She told EW that becoming a mom was a transformative event that changed how she approached Survivor 50.

“I met my incredible partner, Tyler, and we had a son, Odin (Odie) in 2022,” she said. “Seeing his joy, curiosity and fearlessness reminds me to live in the moment. Plus, he keeps us on our toes.”

She attended Phillips-Exeter Academy

Years before competing on Survivor, Aubry was a student at Phillips-Exeter Academy, an exclusive prep school in New Hampshire. She wrote about how her time there prepared her for Survivor in an essay published on the school’s website

Survivor wasn’t very much unlike the roller coaster that was Exeter,” she wrote. “On the show, I had a panic attack on the second day. I had an infection on my leg. I lost several major allies. Name an obstacle or possible parasite and I had it. But Exeter taught me that when my logic tells me the tank is empty, it is not.”

She had to step away from the ‘toxic’ ‘Survivor’ community

Aubry earned her Survivor stripes competing on three seasons in quick succession. But after immersing herself in the show’s world for years, she realized she needed to take a step back.

“I’ve had seven years since Edge of Extinction,” she told Men’s Health earlier this year. “Sometimes I feel like I never left, because I kind of took myself out of the community. The Survivor community can be very toxic, and I stepped away. But I was able to kind of return to myself and how I felt about it, instead of letting all of the noise—I mean, I played three times from 2015 to 2018. Three times in three calendar years. That’s a lot of Survivor. It can be confusing what’s real and what’s not.”

She predicted she would be the Sole Survivor because she is ‘fearless’

Every player competing in Survivor 50 went into the game thinking they would be the winner. Why did Aubry think she would beat of the other castaways?

“I will be the Sole Survivor because I am genuinely interested in other people and understanding their fears, dreams, and desires,” she told EW ahead of the season. “I know that how you make people feel is more important than what you say. I’m fearless and refuse to quit. No matter what I face I know I have the fire to overcome and have nothing to lose because I already have it all at home.”
