‘Expect More of That’: Prince William Takes ‘Satisfaction’ in Beating Prince Harry at ‘Hollywood Popularity Game’
Prince William is reportedly enjoying his growing Hollywood connections. Now, an insider claimed he also likes showing his estranged brother, Prince Harry, that he has famous friends of his own. William made a surprise appearance on The Graham Norton Show on October 23, 2026.
According to The Blast, the appearance received positive feedback at Buckingham Palace. The source told Star Magazine, “So expect more of that sort of thing.” The insider said promoting his charities remains William’s main reason for joining entertainment shows. However, they also claimed he enjoys celebrity attention for another reason.
The tipster stated that there’s “a certain satisfaction” in showing Harry that he’s “got his beat in the Hollywood popularity game.” William, Cate Blanchett, Robert Irwin, and Hannah Waddingham joined on the famous red couch. Singer Jorja Smith also appeared on the show. They chatted about films, television, and William’s environmental initiative, the Earthshot Prize.
According to Mandatory, William feels “pretty pleased” with celebrity relationships he’s built. The source also claimed he’s become more comfortable around famous people. The insider then brought Harry into the discussion. According to the source, Harry has previously accused William of having a “pathological need to show him up.”
The insider also suggested Harry might see his brother’s growing celebrity presence as another example of that behavior. The insider also suggested that “William would argue that this is nothing new, that the royal family has always had Hollywood connections. William also met Swift and Kelce during her Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 2024. He attended the show with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The Waleses had attended the London premiere of Top Gun: Maverick with Cruise in May 2022. The actor even arranged an advance screening of the film for William.
