‘Wretchedly Unpleasant’: Prince Harry ‘Infuriated’ as Prince William Ignores His Reconciliation Attempts
Prince Harry is reportedly “shocked” by Prince William’s response to his return to the U.K. According to RadarOnline, a source claimed William is still ignoring his younger brother. A source told the outlet he’s “acting like Harry and Meghan don’t exist.” The insider also called the situation “wretchedly unpleasant.”
This has allegedly left Harry “infuriated.” The Duke has tried several ways to apologize and make peace with William. The insider also claimed, “Harry’s known to be impulsive, and the more wound up he gets, the more likely he is to follow through on threats to make William regret this.”
Harry returned to Britain in August 2026 with Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The family has spent six years in California. The brothers have had a strained relationship for years. Things got worse after the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare added to the family tensions.
Harry recalled an alleged fight with William in 2019. He claimed the argument started after William called Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” Things then reportedly turned physical between them. Harry said William grabbed him by the collar and knocked him to the floor. He also claimed he landed on a dog bowl, which broke and left cuts on his back.
The 42-year-old shared details of his conversations with Charles, too. One moment involved a meeting after Prince Philip’s funeral in 2021. He recalled his father pleading with him and William, “Please, boys. Don’t make my final years a misery.”
Harry, however, hasn’t hidden his wish to mend things. During his 2025 interview with the BBC, he said, “I would love reconciliation with my family.” The interview came after he lost his legal challenge over U.K. security arrangements.
Harry also recently spoke to GQ’s Zach Baron about the reconciliation on October 20. “People maybe look at us and go, “How are you going to work it out?” And then, maybe, how I see you’re going to work it out, maybe that will help me work my stuff out. And some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out,” he said.
He admitted that “Scars stick around forever,” but added that the “most important thing is to reconcile.” He wanted Archie and Lilibet to grow up with more British experiences. He also spoke about why British schools mattered to him. “Being able to put the kids in a British school has meant a lot to me. I didn’t know how important it was to me,” Harry said.
Meanwhile, Charles reunited with the Sussexes earlier this year. On July 10, 2026, the King and Queen Camilla welcomed Harry, Markle, Archie, and Lilibet to Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. It was Charles’ first meeting with the kids since 2022.
They last saw him during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Harry was in Britain for Invictus Games charity events. William, however, didn’t meet him. The Prince of Wales attended a charity polo match in Windsor that afternoon.
