Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to the U.K. for an extended stay. However, the couple may not share the same priorities when it comes to rebuilding relationships with the royal family. While the Duke of Sussex reportedly hopes to reconcile with his relatives, the Duchess is said to be reluctant to seek their approval again.

More than six years after the infamous Megxit, the Sussexes made their way back to the U.K. with their children Archie and Lilibet. Their major move came after they met with King Charles and Queen Camilla earlier this year. Despite their efforts to maintain their royal status in the country, insiders claim that there is no shared agenda. 

According to Heat World, a source claimed that Markle is not happy returning to square one after the public fallout. “Meghan’s deeply unhappy in the U.K., and feels embarrassed about how things have turned out,” the insider said. They added that the Duchess believes she and her family have put themselves out there to face more “criticism and humiliation.”

If the reconciliation does not happen as Harry has intended, she is ready to mark her return to the U.S. The former actress allegedly wishes to “pursue her Hollywood ambitions and build a life where she doesn’t need their approval.” She wishes her husband to understand that the family’s future depends on whether the royals will let them back or not. 

“Meghan wants to build the career she believes she’s capable of having,” the insider claimed. They further noted that the Duchess does not understand why she has to sacrifice such opportunities. She has allegedly made it clear to Harry and does not want everyone to “expect her to keep bending.” However, if Harry wishes to stay in the U.K., she has suggested they will have to spend significant time living thousands of miles apart. 

Markle’s ultimatum has left Harry at a crossroads. The insider said that the Duke wants his wife to give another shot at life in Britain. He believes that living in two countries will tear them apart, but he also does not wish to hold her back. 

The insider suggested that the royal family has the upper hand in the Sussexes’ lives, and Markle cannot stand that. She “hates the idea of being portrayed as desperately trying to claw their way back in.” The source claimed that the Duchess thinks she and her husband are “begging for acceptance from people who have no intention of giving it.”

The Duke’s views about reconciliation tell a different story. According to Star, Harry is also ready to beg Kate Middleton to mend his relationship with his brother, Prince William. The source claimed that only the Princess of Wales can get the future King to soften. Therefore, “Harry has been saying he’s ready to beg her for help,” the insider claimed. 

However, his way to William through Middleton is not easy. There was a time when the Princess wanted the two brothers to reconcile. It was the Sussexes’ explosive comments about the family that hampered her belief in them. When will the two brothers reconcile? It is still uncertain. Meanwhile, many are eager to know how long the Sussexes will stay in the U.K.
