Queen Camilla’s Secret Bond With Disgraced Andrew Could Spell Trouble for King Charles
Queen Camilla has reportedly grown closer to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. But an unnamed source claimed she may have her own reasons for supporting him. According to HeatWorld, Camilla wants to keep Mountbatten-Windsor close to protect King Charles from further trouble.
Mountbatten-Windsor has faced scrutiny over his links to convicted s–x offender Jeffrey Epstein. Charles stripped him of his remaining royal titles and honors in 2025. Mountbatten-Windsor also left Royal Lodge in early 2026. Now, he’s challenging the police investigation against him.
Camilla and Mountbatten-Windsor have reportedly had a rocky relationship for years. Before her 2005 wedding to Charles, Mountbatten-Windsor didn’t reportedly consider her “aristocratic enough” for his brother. There was also speculation that he asked their mother, Queen Elizabeth II, to stop the wedding.
Camilla also missed Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank on October 12, 2018. She had a long-standing commitment to visit Crathie Primary School in Scotland that day. Still, her absence doesn’t prove that she and Mountbatten-Windsor had a personal dispute.
Now, Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly been trying to get closer to Camilla. An unnamed source claimed she has softened toward him. They also suggested that the Queen may see a closer relationship as useful.
“Camilla is always looking out of herself,” the source said. They claimed an alliance with Mountbatten-Windsor “could soon come in very handy for her.” The insider added that this could be a “big motivator,” though Camilla would never admit it.
The source also claimed Camilla has noticed how much the two have in common. Both enjoy horses and have spent years in aristocratic circles. “They’re both such horse people for one thing,” the source said. They added that both have spent their lives in a “very small aristocratic world.” That gives them plenty to talk about, the source claimed.
Mountbatten-Windsor’s legal troubles have also brought fresh attention to the royal family. Police arrested him on February 19, 2026, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The investigation concerns allegations that he shared sensitive information with Epstein while working as the U.K.’s trade envoy. Mountbatten-Windsor denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged.
He later challenged the search warrants police used at properties linked to him. On October 8, 2026, the High Court ruled the warrants unlawful. The ruling didn’t end the investigation. Police are still seeking to retain material seized during the searches.
Mountbatten-Windsor’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, has also returned to the U.K. after spending months away. She could also reportedly write a tell-all memoir. However, her team said there is “no memoir” currently in the works.
The source claimed Camilla wants to prevent further revelations that could hurt Charles and the monarchy. They believe keeping Mountbatten-Windsor close could make him less likely to reveal private details. “Camilla feels that is only wise,” the source said. They claimed Mountbatten-Windsor would then be “less likely to come after them all with some nasty tell-all.”
The source added that this was “the last thing they need.” The tipster also noted that “Charles may have thought he was distancing himself from Andrew by fobbing him off on Camilla.” They added that Mountbatten-Windsor remains “a problem that’s clearly not going to go away.”
