Meghan Markle’s latest social media posts have caught former MP Nadine Dorries’ attention. She thinks Kate Middleton should take notice. “Was the timing a coincidence? In my opinion, it wasn’t,” Dorries wrote in a Daily Mail column.

Dorries added, “Love her or loathe her, Meghan knows how to snatch the spotlight. The past week has been marked by a renewed media blitz from the Duchess, and all eyes are on her again. Which is exactly how she wants it to be.”

She also linked Markle’s posts to a reported sighting of Middleton and Princess Charlotte traveling on London’s Elizabeth Line. On October 10, the mother-daughter duo traveled from Slough to Tottenham Court Road. They also had security officers with them.

Markle was recently spotted at Claridge’s in London on October 7. She met Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai for afternoon tea. A source told People, “It was a chance for a catch-up between friends.”

Four days later, Markle shared photos from their meeting to mark International Day of the Girl. She also announced that 100% of the net proceeds from that day’s As Ever jam and tea sales would go to the Malala Fund.

Markle also launched a limited-edition sweatshirt with Moms Offering More. The $100 design sold out within hours, according to the nonprofit. Orders later reopened, though. The proceeds will support Moms Offering More and the Alliance for Children’s Rights in Los Angeles.

That same day, Markle shared a video of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet enjoying the countryside on Instagram Story. Archie rode a scooter while Lilibet walked nearby. Their dog, Pula, also appeared in the clip. Wild deer could be seen in the background.

The commentator also criticized Middleton’s public image. She referred to the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis in 2024 as “the mother of all health battles.” Dorries added that Middleton’s image “needs a glow-up” and that her “old sparkle wouldn’t go amiss.”

Markle and Middleton last appeared together publicly in September 2022, when they joined their husbands to view tributes to Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle. Reportedly, there’s been no contact between them since.

Markle returned to Britain with Prince Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet, on August 26. The family had been living in California for six years after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. They still have a home there.

Markle later caught up with her friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi at The Three Horseshoes pub in Oxfordshire on September 21. Harry was in London that day for the WellChild Awards. Then, on October 2, Markle and Harry were spotted holding hands outside the Falkland Arms pub in the Cotswolds.

Meanwhile, Markle is expected to visit Nottingham with Harry on October 15. They’ll stop by the Community Recording Studio in St Ann’s, where young people can take part in music, creative activities, sports, and mentoring.

It’s expected to be their first public appearance together since returning to Britain. Nottingham is also a special place for the couple. It’s where they made their first public appearance together after announcing their engagement in 2017.
