Who Is San Antonio Spurs Coach Mitch Johnson’s Wife, Jessica, and How Many Children Do They Have?
For 29 seasons, Gregg Popovich coached the San Antonio Spurs. When he suffered a stroke five games into the 2024-25 season, Mitch Johnson stepped in as interim head coach. Mitch, who is the son of late NBA player John “J.J.” Johnson, had spent nearly a decade within the Spurs organization and was promoted to head coach in May 2025 following Popovich’s transition to President of Basketball Operations.
In his first full season at the helm, Mitch guided the team back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014. Now, many fans want to know more about his life off the court as well.
Mitch is married to Jessica Johnson, and they are the parents of four children. They have two daughters, Tasia and Tatum, and two sons, Johnnie and Jameson. The couple announced in 2023 that they were expecting their youngest, Jameson, while their oldest, Tasia, graduated from high school in 2025. Tasia is active on Instagram and has posted some photos at Spurs games.
