Heather Rae El Moussa is speaking out after an unsettling incident.

“Disgusted by some of the cruel heartless people in this world,” the Selling Sunset star, 38, wrote in a Tuesday, June 9, statement shared on her Instagram Story. Her husband, Tarek El Moussa, 44, reposted the same statement on his Instagram.

“Tarek and I feel violated and to be honest really sad,” she continued. “Taking a break for a few days and will be back to explain soon. We are safe & the kids are safe.”

Heather didn’t share any more details in her cryptic post. She and Tarek have been on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with their family, according to other recent social media updates. According to TMZ, while the reality stars were out of town, someone broke into their $5 million mansion in Newport Beach.

About 5:40 p.m. on June 8, officers responded to a burglary call at the couple’s Orange County home, which has been seen on HGTV’s The Flip Off. Sources told TMZ that several “high value items” were stolen from the home.

Earlier on Monday, Heather had shared a video on Instagram highlighting the family’s journey to Mexico, which involved getting up “super super early” to get to the airport for their flight. After a hectic day of travel, she Tarek were more than ready to kick back once they arrived at their hotel.

“We’re going to have the best time,” she said, as they sipped margaritas at the hotel bar. Unfortunately, it sounds like their vacation has not as relaxing as they hoped it would be.
