Serena Williams’ Daughter Is Choosing Golf Over Tennis in New Instagram Clip
Professional tennis star Serena Williams is known for her 23 Grand Slam singles titles and Olympic gold medals. However, off the court, she’s a mom to two daughters: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., born in 2017, and Adira River Ohanian, born in 2023. In April 2026, Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, posted a sweet clip showing the couple’s eldest daughter playing golf. Here’s what he posted that has everyone’s attention.
Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, posted a sweet clip of their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., playing golf
It appears that Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s eldest daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., also known as Olympia, is athletic just like her famous mother. However, the 8-year-old isn’t taking tennis lessons. Alexis posted a sweet clip of Olympia practicing golf.
The Instagram clip posted on April 27, 2026, shows Olympia doing her best to putt the golf ball gently into the cup. Unfortunately, the child misses. She shows playful disappointment as she watches the ball miss the hole and cruise by the target.
“It’s OK. It’s alright,” Alexis can be heard saying from behind the camera. “Right back. C’mon, try it again.”
He then captioned the post, “Hate seeing my daughter fail, but I love seeing her struggle and overcome. Golf is such a great sport for this!”
Fans adored seeing Alexis’ encouragement as his daughter embraces a new sport.
“I love to see you teaching/reinforcing that quick rebound after failure,” a fan commented. “Part of failing forward is acknowledging the failure, then getting RIGHT back up. Tennis players do it all the time. There’s nothing wrong with saying ‘I missed, I failed … but I’m trying again. I’m gonna do better.'”
The tennis legend discussed how she adores motherhood
In December 2025, Serena Williams spoke to PORTER about putting her daughters first.
“I feel fortunate that I’ve had a career and that I don’t have to do what most people do. I’m very lucky,” she said. “I put in the hard work, like we all are doing, but I did it a little bit earlier. So, I think that’s really working in my favor. And [now I can] just put my kids first.”
Williams noted that she wants to be around her family as her kids grow up. “I’m cooking every night that I’m home,” she said. “I’m home 29 nights a month…. Sometimes, I’ll fly to New York, do what I need to do, fly back, and be home in time for dinner.”
On April 6, 2026, Williams shared a series of sweet photos on Instagram of herself with her two girls. “I don’t share these moments often, but being their mom is my favorite place to be,” she captioned the post. “I’m with them 363 out of 365 days a year — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This weekend was everything.”
