Sharon Osbourne recently signaled that she plans to attend an anti-immigration march in London. The wife of the late “War Pigs” singer Ozzy Osbourne commented on a post by Tommy Robinson, stating that she would be attending the march. Who is Robinson, the far-right figure who organized the march?

Sharon Osbourne said she would attend an anti-immigrant march

In a recent post, Robinson said he was organizing a march in London.

“We have had enough of migration, enough of mass immigration, we’ve had enough of oppression from a tyrannical government,” he said.

He noted that he wanted the march to “bring London to a standstill.” He added, “They have tried to silence us for decades, but we will be silenced no more.”

In the comments of the video, Osbourne wrote, “See you at the march.”

Robinson previously organized a similar “Unite the Kingdom” march. Per NME, conservative figures like Katie Hopkins and Laurence Fox attended. Elon Musk also spoke over video, telling the crowd, “violence is coming” and “you either fight back or you die.” At least 25 people were arrested, and 26 police officers were injured at the event.

Who is organizing the march that Sharon Osbourne plans to attend?

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is a prominent far-right and anti-Islam activist in the United Kingdom. In 2009, he founded the English Defence League, a far-right movement that opposed Islam.

Robinson has organized many political demonstrations over the years and has put out several documentaries. The advocacy group Hope Not Hate described him as “the best-known far-right extremist in Britain.”

“Having founded and run several well-known anti-Muslim street movements, he has rebranded himself a far-right ‘journalist’ but is able to attract tens of thousands of people to his demonstrations,” they wrote.

Robinson has also served multiple prison sentences for assaulting an off-duty police officer, stalking, fraud, and drug possession. He recently got out of prison for contempt of court during a libel case involving a 15-year-old Syrian refugee. After footage of another teenager attacking Jamal Hijazi went viral, Robinson claimed Hijazi had attacked “young English girls” and threatened another student (via Al Jazeera). Robinson continued to repeat the claims after a judge ruled he’d defamed Hijazi, landing him behind bars.

She previously said that Hollywood stars should keep their politics to themselves

In a recent conversation on the The Osbournes Podcast, Osbourne criticized celebrities who talk about politics at award shows.

“Everybody needs that escape,” she said. “And the thing is, it’s like I understand that people get really emotional about things politically. So, when they are on TV knowing that there’s 15, 16 million people in this country alone watching, they want to use that platform to show everybody how emotional they personally are about a situation. And I get it, but they’ve also got to get that Joe Public needs a f***ing break.”

She told celebrities that “it’s not always about you” when they accept an award, and said they should save politics “for your own little platform.”
