Simone Biles is feeling a bit emotional right now. The 29-year-old Olympic gold medalist and her husband, Jonathan Owens, have handed their Texas home over to a new owner, and it has her feeling a mix of emotions. It’s no surprise Simone is feeling the sale so deeply, since the home was on and off the market faster than most people expected. So, what comes next?

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens sell their Spring, Texas, home

Simone and Jonathan are on to their next adventure together, which means saying goodbye to the home where they began their marriage. The couple listed their Spring, Texas, home for $1.275 million, and it went under contract in just four days. According to the Houston Association of Realtors, as reported by KHOU, the final sale price landed somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.

Simone bought the home back in 2020. Her grandmother, Nellie, is also listed on the deed, according to the Houston Chronicle.

It’s no surprise the home moved fast, because it has a lot to offer. The nearly 4,000-square-foot house sits in a gated section of the Benders Landing community, on a private lot of roughly an acre with no homes behind it. Features include two primary suites, a wine wall, a sauna, a dog-washing station, a three-car garage and a resort-style pool.

Why did the couple sell?

Simone and Jonathan may have started their marriage in the gated community, but they never intended the house to be their forever home. They listed the property only after their dream project was finished. In November 2025, the couple moved into the brand-new lakeside mansion they’d spent five years building, also in Spring.

“Home building requires a lot of patience,” Simone wrote on Instagram when they moved in. The new home features a cozy fireplace in the primary bedroom, an in-ground trampoline for Simone’s tumbling, plenty of room for family and friends, and even a room dedicated to the couple’s beloved dogs.

The lakeside home is where they rest their heads in the NFL offseason. But as long as Jonathan is still playing, the couple seems destined to stay on the move. The two met while he was playing for the Houston Texans, and he’s moved to different teams as his career has progressed. He’s currently with the Indianapolis Colts, which means the couple spends football season about 1,000 miles from their beloved lake.
