Prince William left fans guessing if he and his wife, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), were going to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding when he was asked about it during a radio appearance.

While onThe Heart Breakfast Radio Show back in May, host Amanda Holden tried to pry an answer out of the Prince of Wales asking if he received an invitation to his friend Taylor Swift’s wedding.

“No comment,” William said laughing before, adding, “I’m hoping. I’m sure there might be an invitation around. But we’ll see.”

That response led many to believe that William and Kate could make an appearance Stateside for the biggest event of the year. But that is not the case.

A royal insider confirmed that the prince and princess will not attend Swift and Kelce’s nuptials. A reason why was not given.

The singer and future king’s friendship goes back to 2013 when they took the stage with Bon Jovi to sing a rendition of “Livin on a Prayer” during a charity gala.

In 2024, William attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London on his birthday with his oldest son, Prince George, and daughter, Princess Charlotte, who is a big Swiftie.

The group hung out backstage and posted their smiling snaps to social media.
