Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark’s marriage is on display on their new reality series, House of Stassi. The couple, who debuted their relationship on Vanderpump Rules, is back on television. While Vanderpump Rules showed them at the beginning of their romance, House of Stassi features them now that they’re married with kids. During the premiere episode, Clark broke down about their dynamic.

During the first episode of House of Stassi, Clark discussed his marriage with the couple’s friend, Taylor Strecker. He admitted that he’s been “shoving down” his feelings.

“I’m trying to balance wanting her to have her space and to be able to not stress out when she’s working,” Clark explained. “But then also, I’m sitting here, and I’m angry and resentful.”

Schroeder works while Clark stays home with the couple’s two children. He said that this dynamic has worn on him.

”I just got so detached from her that it’s like we’re roommates,” he said. “I don’t feel worthy.”

He said he wanted to talk to her about it, but worried about stressing her out.

“I’m trying not to stress out Stassi,” he said. “She’s got the show going on, and she has her podcast. She’s got brand deals, and hopefully at some point, I’ll be able to find the words to just have a chat.”

Later in the episode, Clark addressed his concerns with his wife.

“I just literally just feel like a 1950s housewife where I have my apron on, and I’m cleaning everything while feeding the kids,” Clark told Schroeder. “Sometimes that’s how I feel because we don’t have that connection all the time.”

Schroeder teared up and told Clark she wanted him to come to her with his concerns, not bottle them up.

“I want you to say things,” she said, adding, “I want you to say things the way that you tell me you don’t want things to build up. I need to make more of an effort.”

When did Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark get married?

In October 2020, Schroeder and Clark married in a small ceremony. While they planned to tie the knot in Italy, the coronavirus prevented them from traveling.

“Today would’ve been our wedding day,” Schroeder wrote on Instagram. “We went and did it anyway.”

At the time, Schroeder was pregnant with the couple’s first child. In 2022, they had a second wedding in Rome.

She spoke about her return to reality television

Schroeder became famous during her time on Vanderpump Rules. In 2020, Bravo fired her from the show after former cast member Faith Stowers came forward with allegations of racism. Schroeder thinks that stepping away from reality television helped her grow as a person.

“I was incredibly selfish and chaotic and I just feel like I didn’t consider other people before I did things or said things,” she told Marie Claire. “And if I were still in Vanderpump Rules, I’d probably be the same person. This time away from reality TV has shaped who I am now.”

While she felt excited to return to reality television, she wants to do it on her own terms.

“I was very certain that if I’m going to do reality TV again I need to be able to say, ‘No, you can’t show this with my kids.’ I’m protecting my family at this point.”

House of Stassi airs on Freeform on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
