Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex-Husband Said Their Co-Parenting Relationship Hasn’t Been ‘Peaceful’ in Recent Months
Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex-husband, Tate Paul, made a rare statement about their co-parenting dynamic. Taylor married Tate in 2016, and their relationship fell apart after the “soft-swinging” scandal that captivated social media users. The couple has two children, and Tate said that their co-parenting relationship is usually peaceful. He admitted that this hasn’t been the case recently, though.

Taylor and Tate married in 2016. In 2017, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Indy. In 2020, they had a son, Ocean. After their divorce in 2022, they have been co-parenting their children.
Taylor’s more recent ex, Dakota Mortensen, has a tumultuous relationship with her. Cru Eaton, Mortensen’s roommate, recently hosted a livestream. In a comment, Tate gave some insight into the current state of his co-parenting relationship with Taylor.
“My co-parenting relationship has been peaceful for the most part,” he wrote. “The last few months has been not so.”
Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-husband divorced in 2022
Tate and Taylor’s marriage ended in 2022, following a soft-swinging scandal. The couple became intimately involved with other “MomTok” couples. Taylor explained that they didn’t go “all the way,” though. She admitted that she crossed a line in this dynamic.
“The agreement was just like, as long as we were both there and we saw it and we knew it, it was OK,” she said in a TikTok Live video. “And the second it goes behind without each other, you’ve stepped out of the agreement. And I did that.”
They decided to divorce because of this.
“For Tate and I, I think it’s best that we separate and divorce, and kind of find ourselves and find what makes us happy, start fresh,” she said. “I think there’s been a lot of evil around us and we’ve participated in, obviously… And I think we need a fresh start and to kind of wake up. This was a good wake up call for us and our entire friend group.”
Tate has since remarried.
She also shares a child with Dakota Mortensen
Taylor also has a highly contentious co-parenting relationship with Mortensen. They share a son, Ever.
ABC pulled her season of The Bachelorette after footage of her attacking Mortensen in 2023 leaked. They both have also filed protective orders against one another amid allegations of domestic violence coming from both sides.
Mortensen currently holds primary custody of Ever, but Taylor recently regained the right to supervised visitation. She will have custody of Ever on alternating weekends, and one midweek day that is not overnight.
“I’m encouraged and I think we’re moving in the right direction,” the judge said, per Us Weekly. “From now until the next hearing, I’m going to recommend supervision be lifted.”
The judge also ordered Taylor and Mortensen to avoid making disparaging posts about one another on social media, to attend therapy, and to stay 100 feet away from each other.
